A Human Solution is Coming....

The power of their system can ruin your life and change it forever, that was true until a organization called The Human Solution stepped into the fight.

A Human Solution

(SACRAMENTO, CA) - Here in California we have more than a handful of organizations that accept donations and fight for the rights of Prop. 215 patients. In 2011, I came into contact with one of these organizations and was very impressed to find a true grassroots effort fighting beside the patients being criminally charged.

I know first-hand how scary it is facing a courtroom of professional educated justice system employees alone. The district attorneys are ruthless and only want to convict you and not figure out the truth or justice in your case. Oftentimes the judges follow suit and go throughout the motions set before them without emotion.

The power of their system can ruin your life and change it forever, that was true until a organization called The Human Solution stepped into the fight.

Formed by a Prop. 215 patient and collective director, Joe Grumbine, this organization sought to change the playing field and stands by the accused.

Joe had been through his own fight, along with his partner Joe Byron.

Joe Grumbine

Joe Grumbine had run a pair of Long Beach MMJ dispensaries. These locations known as the Garden Grove's were widely respected until they were raided in Dec. 2009.

Both men were tried and convicted on several counts for selling marijuana. After an appeal filed by Allison Margolin, the charges were overturned for judicial misconduct after Judge Charles D. Sheldon recused himself from the case. The biased judge had written a congratulatory letter to the prosecutor Jodi Castano before the trial had actually ended.

Today Joe Grumbine is still waiting for his day in court to defend his right to distribute medicine to members legally.

During his fight, Joe Grumbine began to advocate for others facing the same types of criminal sanctions. He travelled throughout California spreading the jury nullification ideals and no plea deal approach.

Filling courtrooms with 20 or more green ribbon wearers who always protest, rally and march, this organization has changed the courtroom dynamic for the better.

He was hailed as a hero by the patients and collectives he stood by while they faced trial both in State and Federal courts.

In a short time the Human Solution became a household name in advocacy and legalization efforts. Most well known for the green ribbon and red cross insignia, these dedicated activists showed up in droves to fill courthouses from California to Montana.

If there is ever a situation of injustice being perpetrated against a valid Prop. 215 patient or anyone facing jail for a plant, The Human Solution is ready to become involved directly and help those people.

To date there are chapters in almost every U.S. State and even other countries like Japan and Australia, which have local chapters dedicated to court support and awareness. The possibilities seem endless for what this now the large group of advocates and activists can accomplish.

Accepting donations and issuing member cards and ribbons is just one way they connect to a wider audience. This group relies on others to form their own chapters, this is a sure fire way to help those around you in the community.

Joe Grumbine has given selflessly of himself, and started what can only be described as the most powerful MMJ court support allied group in the movement, putting themselves on the front line daily for the justice of others.

To donate and help this most worthy cause go to the website listed below and donate what you can. A modest $10 donation earns you an official membership card, and green ribbon.

No one should go to jail for a plant!

Eric Salerno is a Salem-News.com writer from Butte County, California. His background is with State and Federal Agencies assisting in recovery efforts in disaster stricken states.

In 2008 he began advocating for medical marijuana in his home state. This journey began after the supervisors in his district of Butte County enacted a moratorium on legal Prop. 215 patients rights to access and grow their own medicine. He was one of only 10 people to show up at the meeting and voice his concerns with their actions.

That year a coalition of mores than 300 residents was formed and a Vote NO on measure A campaign began. These residents of Butte County united to stop the interference of the county.

This campaign was successful with a large voter drive initiative and media campaign securing 55% of the voters saying NO on measure A.

Today Eric works endlessly from Southern California to Northern California advising and implementing political tactics, to ensure every Californian has the right to access legal safe medicine under the law.
