(MOLALLA, Ore.) - The Oregonian newspaper just published an article on this subject which is supposed to be a psychological bombshell. Where have these psychologists and reporters been for the past century? I don’t know if I’m any better or lesser informed than the average male but I did see a visual display of this during 18 months in Europe during World War Two. Hawaii and Asia had about the same experience. Boys at about 10 years become interested in girls and their bodies. We used to check out the Sears and Monkey Ward catalogs. Now their pulchritude with postage stamp bikini’s and postage stamp brassieres are in the Oregonian ads. It’s only a slight jump to TV Soap Operas and the Internet. Humans are supposed to be the ONLY monogamous males among primates, monkeys and apes, etc. not to mention almost all other animals. We may "supposed to be" monogamous, even if psychologically, but we are not. How many human males have multiple girlfriends or wives? Yep we are interested in MANY women. I referred to my WWII experience. War or the prospect of war promotes explicit sexuality in both sexes. It does appear to be more in males but remember there are far more female prostitutes. They were around every Naval and Army base and every port of departure in droves. Some were called “Victory Girls”. The puritanical mindset of both men and women went totally out the window during WWII. Actually it started during WW One. How about the “Roaring Twenties”? In Europe during WWII any puritanical vestiges were ignored by everybody from the lowest rank to Generals and Admirals. I was in a famous Paris night club, The Bal Taborin, right next to the Moulin Rouge and up the hill from The Trocadero. I was the only private. The next lowest rank was Major and the place was full of Colonels and Generals all had French Lady “Friends”. At that time Paris had at least 6000 hookers. Naples had more and German cities still had more. One WWII memoir stated he’d been to bed with 24 women in Europe, whether this was wishful thinking or bragging isn’t known. Even official U.S. Govt. documents state that 75 percent of the 3 or 4 million G.I.’s in Europe had more sexual experience than before they came over. I didn’t know that sexuality as mentioned above was such a psychological problem. Most men enjoy sex. It’s in their jeans. Yes, we do think of sex much of the time. It’s abetted by magazines, newspapers, T.V. and what else – the Internet. Maybe some poor slobs are addicted? Is it worse than alcohol, tobacco or gambling? **********************************************************

Please do tell the "trusted source". As we all place our personal trust in different sources, what is your source. I certainly did not locate that information anywhere. In fact, many things I read stated differing uses for the cash that was handed out.

n2s: Appreciate your ref. to "trusted source", but why not share THAT SOURCE, too ? Simple link quick and easy as words you used. Then WE can evaluate with own mind, rather than depend on OUR sole evaluation, which, since we do not KNOW you, must still remain questionable until and unless we DO see and check the source. That's true for MY sources too of course...which is why we do use "see with own eyes". Please now post here for rapid check, since stats you cite, with no proof, are highly questionable from mine own ongoing surveillance.

I forgot to add. The only reason I responded to this article is because of the picture. :-) lol

I received an article about 6 months or so ago, when the government gave that economic stimulus package sending people checks, remember? Well, the article said, that the only businesses that showed an increase in revenue were pornography, prostitution, and alcohol. :-) I did not research it further, but it came from a trusted source. Just sharing.
