Marion County Traffic Safety Team Deputies Investigate Head-On Crash

UPDATE: Following the investigation by the MCSO Traffic Safety Team, Ian Beyers was charged with driving while Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Reckless Driving, and Assault 3.

(SALEM, Ore.) - wrecked 96 sentra A head-on motor vehicle crash sent one driver to the hospital by helicopter earlier this evening. Marion County Deputies responded to a call received at 5:07 p.m. and located the crash in the 18000 block of Fobert Road NE, between Hubbard and Aurora.

(SALEM, Ore.) - crash scene salem highway 99E Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Saturday evening's fatal pedestrian-involved crash on Highway 99E just north of Salem. The crash resulted in the death of a 42-year old transient whose name is being released following confirmation of next of kin notification.

Escaped Emu Captured on Highway 26 Owner Unknown

The Emu appeared to be in good spirits and enjoying the beautiful day.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore) - Emu Captured by Oregon State Patrol Today at 9:45 a.m. Oregon State Troopers were called to Highway 26 at milepost 19 on a report of an EMU running in traffic at this location.

OSP Trooper Mike Reel responded to the call along with Deputy Shane Jensen of the Clackamas County Sheriffs Office and the Oregon Department of Transportation, to this location and found the EMU on the north shoulder of the road.

Serious Single Vehicle DUII Crash in Eugene - Springfield Area

A vehicle driven by a Eugene man drifted off the right shoulder, traveled back across the southbound lanes and struck the center concrete barrier where it rolled several times.

Stolen Vehicle Suspect Eludes Tigard Police Later Caught

(TIGARD, Ore.) - Chad Curtis Loynachan of Tigard At about 11:15 p.m. last night, a Tigard police officer observed a suspicious vehicle (a early 90's Ford Mustang 5.0) near the intersection of SW Pacific Highway and Walnut St. which was reported stolen.

The officer along with another Tigard Police officer attempted to stop the vehicle but the suspect refused to stop and sped off north on Pacific Hwy. The officers continued to follow the vehicle which snaked through multiple Tigard neighborhoods.
