Pedestrian Struck by Train in Salem

The pedestrian was transported to the Salem Hospital where he is being for life-threatening injuries.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Police say a southbound Union Pacific freight train struck a pedestrian around 7:51 Thursday evening, near the State Street crossing.

The investigation revealed the pedestrian, a 47-year old Salem resident, was walking northbound on the railroad tracks at the time of the collision.

ODFW Biologist Killed in Traffic Crash on Highway 20 Near Toledo

(TOLEDO, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Monday afternoon's fatal traffic crash that occurred on Highway 20 at the intersection of Highway 229 in the Toledo area.

The crash, which was witnessed by an on-duty Toledo police officer, resulted in the death of an Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife (ODFW) wildlife biologist.

Wanted Gresham Man Arrested After Fleeing Traffic Crash Near Sandy

(SANDY, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP), with the help of Clackamas County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) and Sandy police (SPD), arrested a Gresham man who was wanted on numerous warrants after he fled a Monday night traffic crash on Highway 26 at Orient Drive west of Sandy.

According to OSP Trooper Tyler Bechtel, on October 25, 2010 at approximately 8:44 p.m. a 1990 Nissan pickup driven by Enedino Gonzalez Hernandez, age 30, from Gresham, was westbound on Highway 26 approaching the intersection with Orient Drive near milepost 22.

Traffic Stop Leads to Over 20 lbs. of Marijuana Near Madras

(BEND, Ore.) - A Spokane, Washington man was arrested by Oregon State Police (OSP) Friday after a traffic stop nine miles south of Madras revealed over 20 1/2 lbs. of marijuana concealed in his vehicle.

On Friday at approximately 2:16 p.m. an OSP trooper stopped a 2002 Mercury Cougar sedan displaying Washington license plates northbound on Highway 97 near milepost 107 for failure to maintain a lane of travel. The vehicle's driver was identified as Ryan Michael Buley, age 25, from Spokane, Washington.

Wilsonville DUII Crash Injures Two

(WILSONVILLE, Ore.) - Late Wednesday night an Estacada man was driving his 2006 Nissan 350Z on SW Ellingsen Road near Wilsonville. The Driver, 24-year old Steven Decious, failed to negotiate a curve in the road and rolled his vehicle injuring himself and his passenger.

At 11:25pm on Wednesday, Washington County Deputies were dispatched to SW Ellingsen Road near Wilsonville for a single vehicle crash. Upon arrival, deputies found the 2006 Nissan in a field on the vehicles roof.
