Border Patrol Shooting Kills 15-Year-Old Mexican Boy at Ciudad Juarez / El Paso, TX border crossing

(CIUDAD / SALEM) - The Mexican border is seeing a problem involving rock throwers aiming at U.S. Border Patrol Agents. In recent days, a 15-year-old Mexican boy was shot dead by a Border Patrol agent who retaliated to the apparent rock throwing with live fire, killing the youth and launching an international incident.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The fighting in both Afghanistan and Iraq continues to claim many American lives. This report includes the names of seventeen members of the U.S. military who paid the ultimate price. Their deaths occurred between 5 March and 24 March 2010.

Of the seventeen, 11 were U.S. Army soldiers, 5 were U.S. Marines, and one Navy SEAL was also lost.

Abandoned Bengal Tiger Discovered by Texas Border Patrol Agents

The cub was evaluated by a local veterinarian and turned over to Texas Park and Wildlife.

(LAREDO, Texas) - Border Patrol agents assigned to patrol near the Laredo Community College main campus discovered an abandoned tiger inside a small cage.

The discovery occurred this morning at about 1:30 a.m., as agents were conducting line watch operations. The agents saw an object that resembled a large bundle wrapped in a blue sheet.

(WASHINGTON, D.C) - An Inspector General investigation requested by Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee Chairman Daniel K. Akaka (D-HI) found that the Department of Veterans Affairs is unable to sufficiently monitor whether veterans are being wrongly charged for care related to military sexual trauma.

12 U.S. Soldiers Reportedly Shot Dead in Ft. Hood, Texas

One shooter is reportedly dead, and two more are in custody according to reports.

(FT. HOOD, Texas) - News sources are reporting that at least twelve American soldiers are dead and as many as 31 are wounded following a shooting spree at the Fort Hood Army Base in Texas.

Lt. Gen. Bob Cone said during a televised press conference, that the shooter is among the dead. It is further reported that two other soldiers are reportedly being held as suspects.
