Once on scene, deputies located a white, 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee with severe rollover damage. Initial assessment of the crash site shows the Jeep Cherokee was eastbound on Ballston Road when it left the road surface and went onto the southern shoulder and then into the ditch.
The vehicle then rolled several times.

On September 10 and 11, the FDA Advisory Committee held a meeting regarding Purdue Pharma, maker of the blockbuster opioid OxyContin to determine if the revamped killer drug reformulated a decade ago cut down on abuse via snorting and injecting.
Purdue Pharma, now a disgraced multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical company has filed bankruptcy, but not before the deaths and addictions of hundreds of thousands of people to addiction and death.

September 10 and 11 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (EST), the FDA will be holding an advisory committee meeting via an online teleconferencing platform.
The committee will discuss the results of required "post marketing studies" on the reformulation of OxyContin extended-release tablets, manufactured by Purdue Pharma.

The disgraced Sackler family, owner of Purdue Pharma maker of the criminally marketed opioid OxyContin, has been in the news over a bankruptcy case in NY.
This case is being presided over by U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert Drain of White Plains, New York.

The crash occurred about 2:00 p.m., while many were in the swimming area at Lewis Creek Park on Foster Lake east of Sweet Home.
A 23-year old male was operating the personal watercraft in the area when he lost control and the watercraft sped off toward shore striking several people with the worst injuries to two minor children.
Salem Police Detective Angus “Scotty” Emmons was treated and released for non-life-threatening injuries.

Salem Police detectives were in their vehicle after conducting an investigation when an unknown vehicle drove up next to the detectives and several shots were fired at the detectives’ vehicle.
One of the bullets penetrated the car, striking a detective in the arm.
