Eleventh Annual Global Cannabis March

Winner of the “Open 4 Snoop Dogg” contest, Bad Habitat, is just one of the bands set to perform.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Portland Hempsters at last summer's HempStalk Event Saturday, May 1, 2010 marks the eleventh annual Global Cannabis March in Portland, Oregon. This year’s march and rally runs from 10:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.

Participants will gather in Pioneer Courthouse Square to march at high noon through downtown Portland, accompanied by a police escort. Cures-Not-Wars and Urbage Designs join Oregon NORML as sponsors of this event.

Man Faces Rape Charges Involving Underage Girls

Detectives believe that Mr. Saechao may have more victims who have not come forward.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - 24-year-old Seng Ton Saechao A man arrested by Sheriff’s detectives for rape may have more underage victims. Police say Seng Saechao met one victim five years ago when she was thirteen years old.

Sheriff’s detectives arrested 24-year-old Seng Ton Saechao on 7 April 2010, according to Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff.

Race for the Roses Half Marathon/10K/5K to Benefit Albertina Kerr

The race is on. Race for the Roses is scheduled for Sunday, April 11.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Close to 5,000 runners and walkers will participate in the upcoming 12th Annual Race for the Roses. Three courses—5K, 10K and half marathon—show off the city's most vibrant sights.

The race begins and ends at the Oregon Convention Center, with the half marathon beginning at 7 a.m., the 10K at 7:20 a.m. and the 5K at 7:35 a.m. Every registrant gets a tech shirt, and roses are awarded to every finisher.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Photos of 29 March protest in Portland by Q Madp It has been a while since Portland, Oregon played witness and host to a serious protest, but the chance came Monday when about 200 people gathered to show their unhappiness over two recent Portland Police shootings.

Many in the crowd wore masks. Their anger over the police officer-involved shootings in recent months came on the second month anniversary of Aaron Campbell's shooting.

Portland Police Detectives Charge Four With Murder

Four men have now been charged in the death of one of the occupants, 55-year-old Jesus Rodriguez Garcia, who died as a result of the injuries he sustained during the robbery.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Handcuffs Portland Police Detectives charged four subjects Thursday in the murder of a man during a home invasion robbery that occurred on March 12, 2010.

Portland Police Bureau Detective Mary Wheat, says Portland Police Officers responded at approximately 4:10 a.m. to a call of a home invasion robbery that had just occurred in the 5700 Block of SE 72nd Avenue.

Portland Police are asking anyone who was in the area or has any information about this incident, to contact Detective Mark Slater at (503) 823-9319. This is an ongoing investigation.

Officer Involved Shooting in Portland

A man is dead following a police shooting in Portland.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Police shooting Few details are in, but around 3:05 p.m. today Portland Police officers responded to the Hoyt Arboretum on a call of a disturbance in the area of the park.

Detective Mary Wheat with the Portland Police Bureau, said an officer arrived on scene; shortly later the officer reported that shots had been fired and requested immediate medical response.

19-Year Old Dies in Downhill Skateboard Crash

Witnesses say the man was riding down SW Autumnview St. when his skateboard lost a wheel.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Skateboard On Friday, Sheriff's Deputies responded to a skateboard crash involving a 19-year old man in the community of Bull Mountain. He was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital.

Friday at 6:55 p.m., Sheriff's Deputies responded with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue to a crash at 12558 SW Autumnview Street in the community of Bull Mountain. A 19-year old man who lives in the area had crashed on his skateboard and was not breathing.
