Two Dead in Fiery Overnight Crash

An autopsy will be scheduled to determine cause of death and to positively identify the victims.

(SALEM) - car crash Salem Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash that took two lives Saturday night.

At about 11:40 PM a 1990 Acura Integra was seen north bound on Lancaster Drive at very high rate of speed.

Witnesses estimated the speed to be 70-90 MPH, Salem police spokesman Lt. Bill Kohlmeyer said.

At Devonshire, the Integra ran a red light and clipped the front bumper on a 1994 GMC pickup, then struck a power pole.

Life Flight Called To Canby Crash for Four Victims

There were five people in the car, but the fifth was able to walk away from the scene, getting his own ride to the hospital.

(CANBY) - car crash Four people were taken to area trauma centers by Lifeflight after the car they were in crashed Monday night on Hwy 170 at South Good Lane.

Canby Fire units were dispatched to the single car Motor Vehicle Crash at about 9:00 PM. When responders arrived they identified four victims in a compact car; all sustaining serious injuries.

Life Flight was activated along with additional ambulances to transport all the injured victims.

One rear-seat passenger required heavy extrication to remove him from the twisted wreckage. The patients names and ages were not available at the time of this report.

Truck Transporting Bees Overturns on Oregon Highway

There was a whole lot of buzz, but no one was stung by the honeybees.

(BEND) - photo: truck overturned A truck transporting honeybees overturned Sunday afternoon at the junction of Highway 97 and Highway 197 spilling the load onto the highway.
There was a report of a minor injury to a passenger but no reports of anyone being stung by the bees.

The 1998 Freightliner truck transporting a large load of bees overturned after losing control at the junction of Highway 97 and Highway 197. The bees spilled onto Highway 197 blocking the highway. The beehives were eventually moved onto the shoulder for later reloading onto another vehicle.

(ROSEBURG) - photo: Friday night accident south of Roseburg Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are looking for witnesses related to a late Friday night single vehicle traffic crash that critically injured one person on Interstate 5 northbound about three miles south of Roseburg.

On December 1st at about 11:36 PM, a white 1990 Plymouth Laser two door driven by 17-year old Adam J. Poole, from Roseburg, was northbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 121 in the left lane when it lost control, hit an embankment on the outside edge of the freeway and rolled.

Two Killed, One Critically Injured in Thanksgiving Morning Crash

OSP is requesting anyone who may have witnessed the driving of the Chevrolet Blazer or the crash to contact Trooper Mark Davie at (503) 378-3387 ext. 252.

(ALBANY) - The Oregon State Police is continuing to investigate a Thanksgiving day morning two-vehicle head-on crash on Highway 34 about 1/2 mile west of Interstate 5 in which two people were killed and a third person critically injured.

On November 23rd, at approximately 6:30 AM, a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer driven by 52-year-old Sary Rath, from Albany, was eastbound on Highway 34 when, for an unknown reason, it crossed the paved center median and crashed head-on with a westbound 1998 Dodge Durango.

Both vehicles came to rest blocking the westbound lanes.

The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Rath was using safety restraints police said.

The passenger in the Chevrolet Blazer, 17-year-old Chomkocma Vann, from Albany, was using safety restraints and was critically injured.

He was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis.

The driver of the Dodge Durango, 27-year-old Gregory Gathings, from Lebanon, was not using safety restraints.

His vehicle's airbag deployed police said.

Oregon State Police troopers from Albany and Salem offices responded to the scene.

Sheriff`s Deputy OK After Thanksgiving Day Crash

The patrol vehicle, a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria sustained rear end damage.

(SALEM) - A Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved Thanksgiving in a single vehicle non-injury accident on Cordon Road, just south of Highway 22.

Just before 5:30 PM, Deputy Steve Cox was responding to a reported two vehicle accident at State St/Cordon Road at the time of his accident.

Deputy Cox was transported by ambulance to Salem Hospital for evaluation and was released

Serious Crash Shuts Down I-5 at Ankney Hill

(SALEM) - I-5 car accident A 22-year old Grants Pass man was seriously injured Wednesday morning after losing control of his car southbound on Interstate 5 near Ankeny Hill
interchange where he was struck broadside by another vehicle.

The crash led to the closure of southbound lanes for about one hour, and one of the involved drivers credits safety belts for saving his life.

Fatal Traffic Crash Tuesday on Hwy 34

Both vehicles ended up in the ditch on the north side of the roadway

(CORVALLIS) - fatal car accident logo A 19-year old Newport woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning on Highway 34 about three miles east of Corvallis.

Official say that on November 21st at about 8:40 AM, a 1992 Geo Metro was eastbound on Highway 34 near milepost 3 when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a westbound 2006 Honda Pilot.

The operator of the Honda, Leslie Ann Howard, age 61, of Albany, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis with non-life threatening injuries.

Non injury crash leaves a utility room in shambles

(SALEM) - crash into garage At 9:08 AM Monday, November 20th, the Salem Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a house at 1929 Nut Tree Dr. NW.

Arriving firefighters reported that a car had crashed into the front of the home's garage, smashing into the clothes washer and dryer. The impact thrust the clothes washer and dryer through the wall and into the dining room of the home.

One Dead in Crash Near Aurora

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

(AURORA) - On Friday, Marion County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a reported motorcycle vs van crash at the intersection of Ehlen Road and Boones Ferry Rd NE near the city of Aurora.

The crash caused the intersection to be closed down for over six hours while members of the Marion County Multi Agency CRASH investigation team investigated the incident.
