Crash Near Dayton Claims Three Lives

The multi-injury crash closed Dayton-Salem Hwy (221) for over four hours.

(DAYTON, Ore.) - fatal crash Preliminary investigation revealed a gray 2004 Volkswagen Passat, operated by 33-year old Krista Ashley, of Salem, was northbound on Hwy 221 going toward Dayton when, for unknown reasons, she crossed into the southbound lane striking a black 2019 Chevy Cruz, operated by 69-year old Susie Valdez of Salem.

Valdez and her passenger, 70-year old Robert Valdez of Salem both sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased.

Suspect in Custody following Wilsonville Workplace Murder

The pursuit continued to Woodburn, coming to a stop on a dead-end street.

(CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore.) - Camilo Santiago-Santiago At approximately 8:20 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15th, 911 dispatch received information that a suspect had walked into Heritage Specialty Foods in Wilsonville and fired multiple rounds with a handgun, killing one employee.

The suspect, 25-year old Camilo Santiago-Santiago, of Woodburn then fled the scene in a red sedan, traveling southbound toward Woodburn.

U.S. 20 Closing Early Saturday Morning for Truck Recovery

Schedule change: Road closed at milepost 15 between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.

(EDDYVILLE, Ore.) - Oregon Hwy 20 closure U.S. 20 Newport-Corvallis Highway will be closed eight miles west of Eddyville, near milepost 15, Saturday morning (Nov. 9) from 1 a.m. until about 5 a.m.

The closure time was changed to accommodate traffic from the Friday night Oregon State football game.

Suspect Identified in October Central Linn Bomb Threat

Parents were kept informed until the lockdown was lifted.

The Second World War: An Oregon Perspective on Exhibit

On Display until November 28 in the Capitol Galleria

(SALEM, Ore.) - Oregon Capitol The archives of the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education includes testimonies about the Second World War and the Holocaust from soldiers, liberators and survivors. Some of these stories have been put into this traveling exhibit.

The Salem Veterans of Foreign Wars 661 Uniform Display Museum has supplemented the exhibit with seven service uniforms worn by Jewish soldiers in WWII.

Woodburn Football Coach Arrested on Child Sex Abuse Charges

The coach was taken into custody at Woodburn High School earlier today.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Nicholas Federico A teacher that has been at Woodburn High School for 8 years has been charged with having a sexual relationship with a student.

At the end of July 2019, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Woodburn Police Department received a tip regarding a video circulating on Instagram alleged to be of a Woodburn High School teacher engaged in an intimate act.
