(SALEM, Ore.) - Tim King, owner of Salem Ghost Tours and former Executive Editor of Salem-News.com was involved in a serious motorcycle crash about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday Sept 30. He was hospitalized in critical condition and remains in ICU at this hour.

Tim was driving north on Commercial St in Salem, Oregon, when a car pulled out of a driveway directly into his lane.

OLCC Suspends Ecotest Labs Marijuana Laboratory Licensee

Hostage situation ends in death of suspect, a woman and a young boy

(SALEM, Ore.) - A shooting in SE Salem yesterday which resulted in multiple fatalities has left the city wondering what happened. This morning we have more information, though what motivated the hostage situation to begin with is still unknown.

Yesterday at about 12:30 p.m., MCSO Deputies responded to a hostage situation. Upon hearing gunshots inside deputies forced entry into the residence in an effort to effect a rescue.

The names are not being released until family of the deceased is notified.

(BALLSTON, Ore.) - Once on scene, deputies located a white, 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee with severe rollover damage. Initial assessment of the crash site shows the Jeep Cherokee was eastbound on Ballston Road when it left the road surface and went onto the southern shoulder and then into the ditch.

The vehicle then rolled several times.
