House Passes Budget with Medical Cannabis Protection Amendment

Rohrabacher-Blumenauer Amendment will Protect Patients from AG Sessions until September

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - The amendment, which has appeared in previous versions of the annual appropriations bill protects medical cannabis patients and programs from federal interference by the Department of Justice.

Due to the recession of the Cole, Ogden, and other memos by Attorney General Sessions, this amendment is the only thing that prevents large-scale federal raids and prosecutions against businesses and individuals complying with state laws.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The walkout lasted for exactly 17 minutes -- a minute for each life lost in the tragedy at Parkland. The clock was set and hundreds of students stood in quiet contemplation as it counted down. The last minute was an observed moment of silence.

Students were well spoken and clearly had done their homework researching the walkout and what it meant.

(SALEM, Ore.) - I hope everyone is transitioning after the hour loss of sleep the government imposed upon all of us a few days ago. Contrary to popular opinion that daylight saving time was for farmers, it was first established in the United States in 1918 as a wartime measure to conserve electricity.

I am absolutely for finding ways to conserve energy. That is one of the reasons I would like to explore an end to changing the clocks and stay on daylight saving time.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Beginning March 1, a new law protects consumers from receiving surprise out-of-network medical bills from health care providers.

The new law prevents health providers, who were not chosen by the consumer, from balance billing services performed on or after March 1, 2018.
