Motorcyclist Killed in Crash Near St. Paul

(SALEM, Ore.) - fatal motorcycle On Monday, May 31st, first responders were called to the scene of a serious motor vehicle crash on Arbor Grove Road NE at St. Paul Highway NE a few minutes before 6:00 pm.

The crash involved two vehicles, a Honda motorcycle and a Toyota Tacoma.

Five Arrests Following May 25 Protest turned Riot in Downtown Portland

A peaceful protest and march ended as a destructive event.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Portland protests Today, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt filed charges against Jarrid Huber, Elizabeth Hall, Emery Hall and Jacob Myers.

These are four of the five individuals arrested by the Portland Police Bureau on May 25, 2021 downtown during an unlawful assembly and riot.

Oregon House Adds Civics Education to Oregon High School Curriculum

Senate Bill 513 A requires that Oregon high school students receive one half-credit in civics education prior to graduation.

Missing Man Found Alive After 3 Days in Remote Yamhill County Woodlands

(YAMHILL COUNTY, Ore.) - yamhill county rescue Yesterday, around 3:45 PM, pilot Danchuck and his spotter, Rich Ashenbrenner helped save 73-year old Sang Kwon Sa, from Washington State.

Sa had gone missing Sunday evening around 5:30 PM while collecting plants with family members off Wind River Road in Yamhill County.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Oregon vaccinations There are 16 new COVID-19 related deaths in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 2,549, and the Oregon Health Authority reported 660 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 a.m. today, bringing the state total to 192,416.

Oregon Boosts New Unemployment Benefit Amounts

Minimum and Maximum Weekly Benefit Amounts to Increase Nearly 9% for New UI and PUA Claims

(SALEM, Ore.) - oregon employment Today the Oregon Employment Department announced the annual change to the minimum and maximum weekly benefit amounts (WBAs) for regular unemployment insurance (UI).

For new regular UI and new PUA claims filed in Oregon on or after July 4, 2021, minimum and maximum WBAs each will increase by approximately 9%.

Survey to Determine Impact of Oregon Wildfires on Private Drinking Water Systems

Answers will help assess damages caused by or related to the 2020 wildfires.

The Potable Water Resources Task Force has launched a survey to learn how the 2020 wildfires have impacted private drinking water wells and systems that divert surface water from streams or reservoirs.

This information will be used to help the state better support impacted Oregonians while also helping to inform statewide recovery efforts.
