Oregon State Police detectives are investigating the suspicious death of an unidentified adult male found Wednesday morning on the ocean shore west of Little Creek Cove in north Newport.

Health Advisory Lifted at Newport`s Nye BeachSalem-News.com(NEWPORT, Ore.) -
The advisory was issued on Thursday, May 10th, after water samples at Nye beach showed higher-than-normal levels of enterococcus, a type of fecal bacteria, in the marine water. Subsequent testing showed the contamination had subsided and the waters did not pose a higher-than-normal risk associated with water-contact activities.
