Man Injured After Jumping From Moving Vehicle - Interstate 5 / Eugene

(Eugene, Oregon) - traffic camera view of scene An adult male received non-life threatening injuries Wednesday afternoon when he jumped out of a moving vehicle along the Interstate 5 southbound lanes in the south Eugene area. Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation.

According to OSP Lieutenant Rob Edwards, on November 10, 2010 at approximately 2:45 p.m. a 25-year old Eugene man was a passenger in a car driven by his wife southbound on Interstate 5 near milepost 190.

University of Oregon senior forward Jen Stoltenberg Named First Team Pac-10 All-Conference

(EUGENE, Ore.) - University of Oregon University of Oregon senior forward Jen Stoltenberg has been named to the Pac-10 All-Conference First Team it was announced by the league office Wednesday. Stoltenberg, from Mission Viejo, Calif., was the only Oregon player recognized on the all-conference teams.

UO Men’s Golf Sixth at UCLA Tourney

(SAN MARTIN, Calif.) - Oregon Ducks The University of Oregon’s men’s golf team dropped one spot and stand in sixth place after the second round of the sixth annual Gifford Collegiate Championship at CordeValle.

The Ducks shaved 13 strokes off of their opening round score, posting a 7-over 362, but trail No. 16 Stanford by 21 shots heading into Wednesday's final round of the 12-team, 54-hole event. The Cardinal are 6-over (716) for the tourney, followed by host No. 3 UCLA (727), USC (729), Northwestern (731), No. 25 Washington (734) and Oregon (737).

Civil War to be Televised by ABC

Duck Volleyball Tabbed No. 23 in AVCA Poll #11

(Eugene, Oregon) - Oregon Ducks The No. 23 University of Oregon volleyball team (17-8, 5-8) enjoyed its 57th straight week in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Coaches Top 25 Poll released Monday.

In the 11th edition of the season, No. 23 UO was one of seven Pac-10 teams sighted, and overall has been ranked between 11th and 23rd in 2010.

(STANFORD, Calif.) - Oregon Ducks The Oregon (7-10-3, 3-5-1 Pac-10) soccer team closed its regular season with a 3-0 setback at No. 1 Stanford (18-0-2, 9-0 Pac-10) at Cagan Stadium on Sunday.

The Pac-10 champion Cardinal scored a pair of goals in a 1:27 span with tallies from Camille Levin in the 16th minute and Rachel Quon in the 18th minute. Stanford took the 2-0 lead into halftime.

No. 20 Duck Volleyball Scorches Sun Devils in Five-Set Thriller

(TEMPE, Arizona) - Oregon Ducks The No. 20 University of Oregon volleyball team (17-8, 5-8) ended a five-match losing streak Saturday night with a 3-2 win at Arizona State (10-15, 4-8).

Facing its first unranked opponent in three weeks, UO jumped ahead with 25-20 and 25-12 wins the first sets. ASU answered with 25-21 and 25-16 decisions in the third and fourth sets, before Oregon answered with a deciding 15-12 fifth-set outcome.

University of Oregon Fischer & Kawasaki Honored to ESPN Academic All-District Teams

(EUGENE, Oregon) - University of Oregon Ducks University of Oregon sophomores Katherine Fischer and Kellie Kawasaki were rewarded for their excellence in the classroom and on the court Thursday with ESPN Academic All-District volleyball team honors in an announcement by CoSIDA.

Fischer, an outside hitter from Los Altos, Calif., was tabbed to the six-person first team, and the pre-business administration major was one of two honorees with 4.0 cumulative GPA’s.
