Oregon State Softball Inks Four for 2012

(EUGENE, Oregon) - The Oregon State softball team has signed four players for the 2012 roster as announced Wednesday by head coach Kirk Walker.

Rivals For Life - OSU Beavers In The Lead

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - University of Oregon Ducks and Oregon State University Beavers are out for blood. The "Rivals for Life" competition is not just about football, it is about donating blood to help save lives.

The current tally shows the OSU Beavers leading with 2,688 ballots cast and the UO Ducks have a total of 2,241 votes. Last year, the Beavers triumphed and won the Civil War Blood Drive trophy by 1,196 ballots. There is still time to vote, Duck and Beaver fans have until November 20, to donate blood and cast a ballot for their favorite team.

(Springfield, Oregon) - Jordan Hasay won the NCAA West Regional individual title to lead the Women of Oregon to a runner-up finish Saturday at Springfield Country Club. The Men of Oregon then topped that by taking the team title in a two-point decision over Stanford in a thrilling morning of racing along the Mohawk River.

Beaver Volleyball Starts Strong But Stopped by No. 23 Ducks

(Corvallis, Oregon) - The Oregon State volleyball team (8-20, 1-13) started strong, taking the first set, but it was stopped in four by the No. 23 Oregon Ducks (18-8, 6-8) on Friday evening in front 3,287, the third largest crowd in school history.

Oregon Soccer: Pac-10 All-Academic Teams Announced

(EUGENE, Ore.) - University of Oregon senior forward Jen Stoltenberg was named to the Pac-10 Conference’s All-Academic Second Team it was announced by the league office Thursday. Stoltenberg, one of 10 Ducks recognized, boasts a 3.49 GPA in business administration.

Oregon State women’s Cross Country to Compete at NCAA West Regional this Weekend

(Corvallis, Oregon) - The Oregon State women’s cross country team travels this Saturday to the NCAA West Regional hosted by the University of Oregon at the Springfield Country Club in Eugene, Ore. The women’s 6,000 meter race is set for 9:45 a.m. PT.

“We want to finish the cross country season on a high note,” Oregon State cross country and track head coach Kelly Sullivan said. “We have been able to do that in recent years. Usually we do fairly well at the NCAA West Regional. It’s the strongest region in the country so it is fun to match up with that level of competition. We’ve finished ninth the past couple of years.”
