ODFW presents Willamette Salmon and Steelhead Plan at Eugene, Salem Meetings

(SALEM, Oregon) - ODFW and NOAA logo from pdf copy The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife will co-host meetings in Eugene and Salem next week to present the state and federal plan for restoring spring chinook and winter steelhead populations in the upper Willamette River Basin.

The meetings will be co-hosted by ODFW, the State of Oregon’s Governors Natural Resource Office and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Marine Fisheries Service.

Oregon Ducks Run Past Willamette in Women`s Basketball Exhibition, 121-41

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Oregon Ducks The Willamette University women's basketball team faced NCAA Division I opponent University of Oregon on Wednesday in an exhibition game at McArthur Court. The Bearcats were defeated by the Ducks, 121-41. Willamette was led by senior Alex Zennan (G, Sammamish, WA/Eastlake HS), who scored a team-high 14 points.

The game marked the start of the final season at Mac Court for Oregon basketball. The Ducks first played at Mac Court in 1927. Oregon will begin play at the new Matthew Knight Arena later this season.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - University of Oregon The University of Oregon soccer team (7-8-3, 3-3-1), currently fifth in the Pac-10 Conference standings, will close out the regular-season on the road with contests at California (7-5-5, 2-4-1) and top-ranked Stanford (16-0-0, 7-0-0). The UO-Cal contest is set for Friday at 3 p.m. (PT), while the Oregon-Stanford match is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Portland Police Arrest Raymond Hetman

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Raymond Hetman Portland East Precinct Officers stopped a vehicle last night at approximately 6:00 p.m. near Southeast 168th Avenue and Southeast Powell Boulevard. Officers received information that 27-year-old Raymond Hetman was in the vehicle prior to being stopped by police.

Hetman had a Parole Violation Warrant and was being sought for questioning by police with regard to Kidnap allegations made by his girlfriend.

Serious Single Vehicle DUII Crash in Eugene - Springfield Area

A vehicle driven by a Eugene man drifted off the right shoulder, traveled back across the southbound lanes and struck the center concrete barrier where it rolled several times.

Third Suspect Arrested in Oakridge Home Invasion Robbery Identified

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Wayne Thomas New dmv photo The third of three suspects sought following a reported home invasion robbery in Oakridge and subsequent attempt to elude in a vehicle and on foot was arrested Sunday afternoon following release from an area hospital.

All three suspects are now lodged in the Lane County Jail after their arrests late Friday night near Vida. The investigation is continuing.

Oregon Soccer: Ducks Cruise to Third Straight Victory

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Oregon Ducks The University of Oregon soccer team rolled to a 2-0 win over Arizona State Sunday afternoon in the final 2010 regular-season home match for the Ducks. It was the third straight win for UO, which improved to 7-8-3 overall and 3-3-1 in Pac-10 Conference action.

ASU, which ranked No. 13 in the NCAA Women’s Soccer RPI report generated Monday, dropped to 8-6-3 overall and 2-4-1 in league play.

Deputies Searching for Kidnapping Suspect in Aloha

(ALOHA, Ore.) - Raymond Hetman Today at about 10:51 a.m., Sheriff's deputies responded to a female 911 caller at the Postal Annex located at 18645 SW Farmington Road in the community of Aloha.

She reported that her boyfriend, 27-year-old Raymond Hetman from Eugene, had kidnapped her in Eugene yesterday and forced her to drive to Aloha last night.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Left: David Bryan New Right: Byron Leroy Two of the three suspects sought following a reported home invasion robbery in Oakridge and subsequent attempt to elude in a vehicle and on foot are now lodged in the Lane County Jail and their names are being released.

All three were taken into custody by late Friday night near Vida and were being treated at an area hospital for various possible injuries. The third suspect's name is withheld until he has been released from the hospital and lodged at the Lane County Jail. The investigation is continuing.
