FBI Cracks Child Sexual Exploitation Ring

Collaborative Law Enforcement Efforts Dismantle Conspiracy

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - child-sex-ring In late 2015 through early 2016, vulnerable girls as young as 14 and 16 were being exploited as part of a sex trafficking ring run by a group of conspirators in Ohio and Indiana.

But thanks to a joint law enforcement effort conducted by the FBI-led Toledo Child Exploitation Task Force, the ringleader of the conspiracy as well as the other six participants were eventually brought to justice and sentenced to lengthy federal prison terms.

Polk County Grand Jury Unanimously Finds Officer Involved Shooting Justified

(DALLAS, Ore.) - Baltazar Escalona-Baez On Tuesday, a Polk County Grand Jury unanimously found that Polk County Sheriff's Sergeant Kevin Haynes and Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Kelly Lorence were justified in using deadly force when they shot and killed 17-year old Baltazar Escalona-Baez, of Silverton, on the morning of October 28, 2017.

...Escalona-Baez, still within arm's reach of Haynes, turned around and advanced directly towards Haynes, pointing the knife towards him. Haynes then shot Escalona-Baez twice.

Linn County Sheriff`s Office Investigates Bomb Threat at Harrisburg Middle School

Better safe than sorry, the schools were evacuated.

(HARRISBURG, Ore.) - Harrisburg middle school Linn County Undersheriff Jim Yon reports his deputies are investigating a bomb threat at a Middle School.

This morning at 9:33 a.m., a note was found at Harrisburg Middle School threatening to blow it up at 11:00 a.m. Deputies responded and students and staff from the Middle School and the nearby Elementary School were evacuated to safety. The schools notified parents about the threat.

WANTED: Domestic Violence Suspect in Lincoln County

(SALEM, Ore.) - Nahcoma Michael Lee Epperson On Monday October 30th at approximately 12:00 p.m., the Oregon State Police was dispatched to a domestic violence call, which occurred as the victim was driving southbound on US Highway 101 from Lincoln City to Toledo, Oregon.

Once troopers responded to the area, the preliminary investigation revealed the driver, an 18-year-old woman was driving when she was physically assaulted by her boyfriend, 21-year-old Nahcoma Michael Lee Epperson from Siletz, Oregon.
