(WACO, Texas) - The 10th-ranked Baylor Bears showed why they continue to be one of the most successful teams in the country on Wednesday night, remaining undefeated on the season with an 80-45 victory over Oregon at the Ferrell Center.
After nearly two weeks off from the team’s last game on Nov. 29, Baylor (7-0) showed little signs of rust, forcing Oregon (5-4) into a season-high tying 27 turnovers, and holding the Ducks to season-lows in points (45) and shooting percentage (.232). Read Full Article

The game see-sawed from there on, with the Bengals grabbing the lead for good at the 2:19 mark on another three-pointer. (CORVALLIS, Ore.) - Brittney Davis and Ashley Allen both scored 18 points to pace the Oregon State women’s basketball team, but the Beavers lost to Idaho State, 79-73, Monday night at legendary Gill Coliseum.
“They were a very good opponent,” head coach LaVonda Wagner said. “They came out in the second half and attacked us early, and we came out in the second half and got into foul trouble.”

(KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.) - Oregon Institute of Technology led Willamette University by just four points with 17:17 left in the game, but the Lady Owls outscored WU by 25 points the rest of the way to claim a 73-44 victory, Saturday, Dec. 8th in the second round of the Oregon Tech Classic. OIT upped its record to 6-2, while the Bearcats dropped to 2-7.
OIT held a 30-23 lead at halftime, but WU opened the second half with a 5-2 run. Jenny Fillion (Jr., G, Silverton, OR/Silverton HS/Linn-Benton CC) scored the first points of the stanza on a jump shot. After the Lady Owls recorded the next two points, Molly Fillion (Jr., G, Silverton, OR/Silverton HS/Linn-Benton CC) added a 3-pointer, pulling WU within 32-28.

The Beavers are coming off a win at UC Davis as Oregon State claimed a 73-59 victory over the Aggies. Seth Tarver led the way for Oregon State as the sophomore poured in a career-high 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting to lead the Beavers to a 14-point win.

(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. ) - Barry Lamar Bonds, Major League Baseball's all-time home run leader, pleaded not guilty on Friday morning to four counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice for allegedly lying about his use of performance-enhancing drugs in testimony given to a grand jury four years ago.
Bonds was released on his own recognizance after posting a $500,000 unsecured personal bond. He was not placed on any travel restrictions. Read Full Article

(EUGENE, Ore. ) - Oregon baseball coach George Horton completed the early signing period by adding four additional players to bring the total number of recruits to 21 for UO’s first recruiting class in 27 years.
The incoming class, which already includes two of the top five junior college pitchers as rated by Perfect Game USA, in Ben Whitmore and Justin LaTempa, will be completed during the normal signing period in April.
