(MONMOUTH, Ore.) - Leada Berkey hit six free throws in the final 30 seconds and sophomore Katie Torland had a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds as Western Oregon defeated Cal Poly Pomona 76-69 in the second game of the GNAC-CCAA Women’s Basketball Challenge at the Physical Education Building.
The win helped the Great Northwest Athletic Conference sweep the California Collegiate Athletic Association on the night, as Saint Martin’s defeated Humboldt State in the first game, 65-63. Western Oregon improved to 4-4 on the season, while Cal Poly Pomona dropped to 1-4.

(HONOLULU) - Ashley Allen reached the 20-point plateau for the third straight game and Brittney Davis and Tiffany Ducker both reached double-digits as the Oregon State women’s basketball team defeated Hawaii, 70-57, Monday night at the Stan Sheriff Center.
With the win, the Beavers improved to 2-1 at the Island Imaging Paradise Classic as OSU heads back to Corvallis, Ore.

(MONMOUTH, Ore.) - Western Oregon had four players in double figures, pulling away from a stubborn Walla Walla University club in the second half to claim a 79-59 men’s basketball win on Monday night in the Physical Education Building. WOU moved to 5-2 on the season with the non-conference victory, while Walla Walla dropped their ninth straight game to fall to 3-12.
Mike McLaughlin (14) and Adonal Arrington (13) both came off the bench to lead the host Wolves in scoring. Sam Kelly (11) and Travis Kuhns (10) were also in double digits for WOU.

With Masten making all eight of his 3-point shots and scoring a game-high in points, Corban ran past Montana Tech to claim the championship trophy of Whitman's 13th annual Wildhorse Resort Classic.

(FULLERTON, Calif.) - The Oregon State wrestling team was able to nab three matches but came up short against Cal State Fullerton, 29-12, on Sunday afternoon. The Beavers’ record falls to 5-1, 3-1 Pac-10, while the Titans improve to 2-2, 2-1 Pac-10.
Junior Jake Gonzales (Enumclaw, Wash.) won the first match for Oregon State at 125 pounds, recording his first technical fall of the season over Andre Gonzales, 20-3, in a time of 6:21. Gonzales emerged as the the only Beaver wrestler to post a perfect 6-0 record in duals on the season.
