Jones, a 10-time Gold Glove winner and five-time All Star, will take over center field, with Juan Pierre likely moving to left.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - The U.S. Women’s National Team will hold its last training camp of 2007, and first under new head coach Pia Sundhage, from Dec. 8-12 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
Among the 24 invitees are University of Portland players Angie Woznuk and Michelle Enyeart. Woznuk was the 2007 West Coast Conference Player of the Year and finished the season with nine goals and seven assists, while Enyeart led the Pilots in scoring for the second straight season with 39 points (12g, 15a). (PORTLAND, Ore. ) - It wasn’t pretty, but the Portland State Vikings managed a narrow escape in a 61-60 victory at their home away from home, The Rose Garden, on Wednesday night.
The game, which was Portland State’s home contest, was played at the Rose Garden in Portland due to water damage on the Stott Center floor. The Vikings had command early on but Lewis and Clark roared back in the closing moments and nearly stole the victory.
Andre Murray finished with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Deonte Huff had 13 points and six rebounds for the Vikings.

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - Oregon State junior cornerback Keenan Lewis is one of nine football student-athletes to be honored on the Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic Football Team, it was announced Tuesday by the league office.
Lewis, a junior cornerback from New Orleans, is a first team honoree for the second consecutive year. He holds over a 3.00 cumulative GPA in exercise and sport science.

(NEWBERG, Ore.) - Evan Atwater led a quintet of players in double-figure scoring with 16 points and Brent Satern had a double-double with 14 points and 11 assists, leading the George Fox University Bruins past the Corban College Warriors 84-65 in the George Fox men’s basketball home opener Tuesday night.
Douglas and Ian Logan led Corban with 14 points each, but Douglas was well below his season’s average of 23.4 points per game coming in. Logan had a team-high eight rebounds and three steals.
