(MONMOUTH, Ore. ) - Head coach Greg Bruce and his Wolves squad are now involved with the county's Adopt-A-Road Program.
Traditionally one of Polk County's most successful road cleanliness programs, the Wolves have joined forces with other volunteers to pick up litter and collect it in bags for easy disposal. The Wolves went to work on Saturday, Oct. 6, working on Riddell Road just north of the WOU campus.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - The University of Oregon women’s basketball program will be hosting a free coaches’ clinic from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Sunday at Mac Court.
Coaches of teams from all age groups are invited to attend the clinic this Sunday, and are welcome to bring their squads. The Duck women’s basketball team has been practicing since last Saturday, preparing for the 2007-08 season. Read Full Article

Dixon, who currently ranks among the top 10 on several Heisman watch lists, has completed better than 70 percent of his passes this season for 1,525 yards and 15 touchdowns through six games.

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - Members of the two-time defending national championship Oregon State baseball team will be honored during halftime of the Beavers’ football game against Stanford on Oct. 27 at Reser Stadium. Kickoff for the non-televised game is at 3:35 p.m.
The team will be recognized for their second straight title, going 5-0 at the College World Series in Omaha, Neb., in June. Oregon State players will also be signing autographs prior to the game.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Thanks to their play last week in two matches, junior Rashelle Davenport and sophomore Amy Thompson were named Cascade Collegiate Conference Player and Setter of the Week respectively as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Davenport, who was named conference Player of the Week, helped lead Corban to an undefeated record last week as she tied for the team lead in kills with a combined 35 in nine games. Thompson, who was named conference Setter of the Week for the second time this season, helped guide the Warriors to a perfect 2-0 record last week as she ran Corban's offensive attack with a combined team-best 105 assists. (LINCOLN, Neb.) - In a new development in leadership changes in the athletic department at the University of Nebraska, Chancellor Harvey Perlman on Tuesday announced Tom Osborne has agreed to serve as athletic director on an interim basis.
Osborne left his head coaching post at Nebraska in 1997 after 30 years coaching football, including leading the Nebraska Cornhuskers to three national championships, 12 Big Eight titles and one Big 12 title. Read Full Article
