Oregon Women's Basketball to Host Coaches Clinic Sunday

The Ducks will play their first five games of the season at Mac Court, beginning with an exhibition against Western Oregon on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.

EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Oregon women’s basketball program will be hosting a free coaches’ clinic from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Sunday at Mac Court.

Coaches of teams from all age groups are invited to attend the clinic this Sunday, and are welcome to bring their squads.

The Duck women’s basketball team has been practicing since last Saturday, preparing for the 2007-08 season. The Ducks will play their first five games of the season at Mac Court, beginning with an exhibition against Western Oregon on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.

Oregon hosts Love & Basketball on Sunday, Nov. 4 in its final exhibition before the season-opener on Saturday, Nov. 10 against San Jose State.

Entering her seventh season at the helm of the program, head coach Bev Smith’s squad returns five letterwinners, led by veteran guards Kaela Chapdelaine and Tamika Nurse. Oregon also boasts seven newcomers, including a six-member freshman class.
