(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - The Oregon State men’s soccer team connected on an early goal and used a solid team effort to defeat No. 18 San Diego State, 2-0, in action at Paul Lorenz Field on Sunday.
Oregon State would jump on top in the 23rd minute. After collecting a pass from Collin Foster, Josh Cameron blasted a shot from 18-yards out that found the back of the net to give the Beavers the early, 1-0 lead.

And thus, Boston completed its dramatic comeback from 3-1 down in this series, becoming the first team in Major League history to pull off that feat three times. The Red Sox, their season on the brink after Game 4, didn't trail once in the final three games, a span in which they outscored the Indians, 30-5.

(MARTINSVILLE, Va.) - Jimmie Johnson continued his mastery of Martinsville Speedway Sunday afternoon, picking up his third consecutive NASCAR Nextel Cup victory on the half-mile track.
Johnson took the lead with 44 laps to go and then held off a hard charge from Ryan Newman for his 30th career victory. (EUGENE, Ore. ) - The Oregon Ducks climbed two more spots in the latest college football AP Top 25, and five places in the BCS Standings to rank No. 5 in both polls. It's UO's highest AP ranking since ending the 2001 season at No. 2 after defeating Colorado in the Fiesta Bowl.
The Ducks (6-1, 3-1 Pac-10) also improved their standing in the USA Today (coaches) rankings, coming in at No. 5, and in the Harris Poll, where they picked up two spots to place fifth. Read Full Article

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Freshman Kristen Eiler recorded a match-high 13 kills with zero attack errors, as Corban's women's volleyball team swept the visiting Geoducks of The Evergreen State College, 3-0 (30-16, 30-17, 30-12), on Saturday inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.
Along with Eiler, junior Rashelle Davenport was the only other player in double figures with 12 kills to go along with nine digs.

(WALLA WALLA, Wash.) - Whitman College scored a goal just 1:06 into the game, then took a 2-1 lead on another score with 1:22 left in the first period, as the Missionaries kept Willamette University battling from behind in a 3-1 win over the Bearcats on Saturday.

(WALLA WALLA, Wash.) - Kristen Berndt of Whitman College scored two goals, including the game's opening goal just 3:24 in the contest, as the Missionaries defeated visiting Willamette University, 3-0, in a Northwest Conference game on Saturday.
Berndt, who now has eight goals on the season, beat a defender, then placed a low shot into the corner of the goal to give Whitman its early lead. Berndt added the game's final goal with nine minutes left. Read Full Article
