'Poopgate' - Media Makes a Stink at Occupy Eureka

A reporter stomps through Occupy Eureka demanding to know, "Did you poop and pee on the bank?"

Poo and pee
From an unrelated, sort of unrelated story... published by SF Weekly: The Snitch

(EUREKA, Calif.) - A corporate media monster is trolling the Occupy Eureka camp and never has such a horrific display of 'journalism' been recorded and actually released by a station. 'Poop and pee' are the operative words in this story. It just might be the silliest story in history, or perhaps it is a look at the lower rungs of corporate media gone wild.

In this video, which is a raw clip from station KIEM Channel-3, the area's NBC affiliate, the reporter just goes down the throat of activists taking part in Occupy Eureka.

It is a northern California city where the mayor and council are comprised of former city cops. They've attacked and arrested protestors under very questionable circumstances.

But this video is about a pissed off reporter trying to find out who urinated and defecated on a Eureka bank. She is clearly driven and angry, and the irony is enough to knock you over.

An activist who the reporter focuses her attention on in the clip cleverly explains that it isn't about their camp peeing and pooping on a bank, in fact he told her it is just the opposite; banks are pooping and peeing on the pissed off public.

Crazy enough for you? Just wait, the video is worse, and thank goodness this clip has been captured and is out of the realm of control, the YouTube downloader is a heck of a tool. The clip posted with the Gawker article, Reporter’s Quest to Find out ‘Who Pooped on the Bank?’ Ends on Awkward Note has a video clip that has already been stripped, however there are plenty of other copies floating about.
