710 Festival Bursts Its Seams and Moves to Keizer

July 10 (710) is a fairly new "holiday" for pro-cannabis supporters.

710 Festival

(SALEM, Ore.) - There's a hot cannabis event hitting the Willamette Valley this Friday. The event had its launch a year ago in a field in Turner, Oregon, and the response has grown so fast that it has been relocated to Keizer, Oregon, at the PGN Lodge.

The "710" festival is scheduled to begin Friday July 10th at 10:00 am, running through 11pm at PGN Lodge (patient growers network) located on 4090 cherry Ave. NE, Keizer, Oregon. Camping is not available this year, due to the new location.

You must be 21 years & up with valid ID to enter, though patients 18-21 with OMMP card and ID are allowed.

Another change this year, instead of "Free", it has changed to a Pay-to Enter event. It is $12 to enter, or $10 if you bring 2 cans of food for their food drive.

The goal of this festival is to bring the recreational marijuana and OMMP community together to form a unity, to bring all aspects in of medical and legal marijuana to answer questions, show products that can be used to medicate or recreate.

"The venue will be very open and lots of room to roam. Not to mention air conditioning! Check out the Dank Dyansty Room upstairs for free Dabs, clones, RSO, CBD remedies, flowers, farm merchandise, live BHO extractions and all the competition entries," encouraged one of the organizers.

Most important to make note of is that there will be NO recreational sales per Oregon law. None. You're free to medicate and recreate but there will again be NO sales made to recreational users. The only people in Oregon allowed to make and have concentrates are medical patients.

"As part of SCIA's mission we want to create a positive community bringing in educated users and patients to answer questions recreational and OMMP patients might have, as well as giving vendors an opportunity to share their products and information with the community."

There will be a 710 contest and trophies for the best concentrates and medibles out there. The contest will add some fun and excitement.

The contest gives the local growers and extractors an opportunity to bring their products in to be judge and sampled. There will be a prize for the festivals winning concentrates.

To enter the contests, you must have your entrees turned in by 11am the day of the show (doors open at 10am). The judging will take place from 5-6:00 pm, with the judges in a closed room going over the entrees.

There will also be a voting booth for festival-goers to vote as well for the “people’s choice”. Winners will be announced at 9:00 pm.

There are 2 stages, great artists and bands to play music, expert speakers including Paul Stanford of THCF, Joy Graves, Lindsey Rinehart, and many more, as well as vendors from all over.

It is sure to be an event worth going to....and, thanks to Oregon voters, you can take your friends this year!
