Doctor Discusses Medical Marijuana Treatment (VIDEO)

(SALEM, Ore.) - Many people write to us asking various questions about what medical marijuana is used to treat and how people go about determining if they qualify.

We are using this video segment to talk about those different criteria that Oregon patients are required to meet, and also how it differs from California's Medical Marijuana program.

The various conditions discussed that may be approved under Oregon's program include multiple sclerosis, cancer, chronic pain, specifically with regard to back injuries and surgeries, HIV/AID's, muscle spasms, epilepsy, Alzheimer's rage, and other ailments.

It is our goal to make this unique question and answer segment about Medical Marijuana helpful to those who are seeking this still somewhat controversial treatment that is now legal in eleven U.S. states.

Please remember that when you write to the doctor, you should be sure to specify what state you live in. We are well versed in Oregon law or at least try to be, and we can learn what we don't know when people ask.

But knowing what state you live in makes all the difference when seeking an accurate answers as the laws tend to vary from state to state.
