Veterans Toxic Exposure ~ TCE

Please write to us if you know of anyone that spent time on Guam, from the 40's through the 90's, chances are they were exposed to TCE and/or PCE in the water supply plus AO in the 60's/70's.

(PERTH, Aust.) - Anderson AFB in Guam Andersen AFB was placed on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) National Priorities List (NPL) on October 14, 1992, due to the extent of groundwater contamination under the base.

As early as WWII, United States Air Force and other Military bases used and disposed of chemical degreasers and other toxic substances that were later determined to contaminate drinking water and pose multiple health risks including: Cancers, Reproductive disorders, Birth defects, and Multiple other serious difficulties.

Filner Applauds Passage of Veterans` COLA Bill

This marks the first increase in two years.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - American soldiers on patrol in Kabul, Afghanistan. The House of Representatives on Wednesday passed S. 894, the Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2011. S. 894 passed the Senate on 19 Oct. This measure will be sent to the White House, and the President is expected to sign it into law.

The cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), which takes effect on 1 Dec. 2011, would increase the rates of disability compensation for veterans with service-connected disabilities and the rates of dependency and indemnity compensation for survivors.

Agent Orange can be Deadly

Agent Orange: over 21,000,000 gallons of this toxic herbicide was sprayed in Vietnam to defoliate crops to lessen the food supply and to thin out foliage.

(MEDIA, Pa.) - Some Land, Air and Sea service members, better known as having Boots-On-Ground who were infected by suspect elements of Agent Orange, in some cases receive Veteran Administration (VA) compensation for their disability.

For most Navy Veterans, not ever having Boots-On-Ground who served onboard Naval ships within the coastal waters of the Vietnam combat zone are known as Blue Water Sailors. These sailors are not eligible for VA compensation.
