MilSpeak Books spurs increased trend of giving free eBooks to deployed troops and inspires literary award nominations.

(RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif.) - Milspeak.org MilSpeak Books, the nonprofit digital publishing division of MilSpeak Foundation, Inc. (501c3), publishes creative works by military people.

Camp Lejeune Survivors Face Critical Next Few Months

All we have to do is crack the door open, and their whole story will crumble into dust.

(CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C.) - The Musa family Regarding the many crimes and irregularities enacted by government personnel connected to the Musa case of 6 children removed via allegations made by Haringey council that were later found to be unfounded and without merit some months back i submitted an official complaint about the solicitor for Haringey council ROSITA MOISE to the Solicitors Regulatory Authority who plays a big part in this shocking case.

Finally i have received a message today relating to my complaint {below} from the Solicitors Regulatory Authority but of course it remains to be seen whether any action is actually and realistically taken.

America Keeps Forgetting its Heroes, but California Remembered Daniel Foster

Apple pie, Chevrolet, and a government that cashes in on heroes before throwing them to the curb.

(COSTA MESA) - Former Army specialist Daniel Foster Here we are on Thanksgiving Day in America. While we are among the most fortunate in this world in a general sense, for some, America has become a place of increasing hardship. For some, it has been much worse than that.

Marine Corps Communique Becomes Smoking Gun in Colonel Sabow Murder

A 2010 Navy cold case investigation of the death of Marine Colonel James Sabow claimed no support for homicide, despite forensic evidence and experts who found homicide the more likely cause of death.

(CAMP PENDLETON, Calif.) - NCIS There are good reasons to question last year’s Navy Criminal Investigative Agency (NCIS) cold case investigation into the death of Marine Colonel James E. Sabow.

He was found dead at his quarters at MCAS El Toro, CA, by his wife on the morning of January 22, 1991.

Veterans . . . a Debt Owed!

Veterans include those who have served and those who are serving.

(HARRISVILLE, N.H.) - Traveling Wall To me, the perfect way to understand what our country owes to our veterans is to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. This monument was designed not to be a memorial to the Viet Nam War but to the men and women who served there.

Memories of France on the Anniversary of Armistice or Rememberance Day

World War One's four years of deadly carnage ended on this day in 1918.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Tim King by Jean Paul de Vries in France One of the most dangerous battlefields I have ever spent time on may not have been in Iraq or Afghanistan, where I covered present day combat operations; it likely was in France where I visited World War one battlefields in several locations, but primarily in the Romagne vicinity where many Americans fought and died.

I stayed in Verdun, a city where history is vast and thickly laden with blood and death and courage and honor.

Dover AFB Takes a Big Chance With the Honor of our War Dead

The process depicted in the film Taking Chance with Kevin Bacon was not followed by the Air Force; the only people who were in trouble are those who blew the whistle on the practices.

(SALEM) - Scene from Dover Air Force Base I'm following two stories closely that involve our nation's war dead, and it seems almost timely and logical that the news would be released today about the U.S. Air Force mishandling the remains of Americans killed in the battle theaters overseas.

Apparently they are making as little of it as possible, however the Secretary of the Air Force Public Affairs office did issue a press release.

Intimidation and the Colonel Sabow Murder in Southern California

Today, I experienced the kind of intimidation that the Sabow family has lived under for over 20 years.

(SOMERDALE, N.J.) - Jim Sabow USMC I’ve been working with Dr. David Sabow, the brother of Marine Colonel James Sabow who was murdered in his quarters at MCAS El Toro, California, in 1991.

A few weeks ago Dr. Sabow asked me to help him in writing a book about his brother’s murder and his 20 year investigation to bring the guilty to trial.

Reefer Madness in Obama`s White House

Ethan Nadelman of Drug Policy Alliance calls a spade a 'f' - ing Shovel.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Obama and pot I am completely flummoxed by the complete u-turn made by our president regarding medical marijuana. Nadelman in the NY Times on 7 November points the artillery and fires, what's going on?

In October 2009 he defended the use of medical marijuana and he promised his smoking public that he "would not use the justice department resources to override state laws on the issue". I can not imagine that being a flat-out lie but he surely has some answering to do.

The Demons of War are Persistent

Some manage the demons’ onslaught successfully, others ignore the stealthy domination of their soul...

(POICVIANA, Fla.) - Treating the wounded in Vietnam Forty years have passed since my deployment as a combat Marine to Vietnam. Like many veterans of war, the “Demons” have haunted me through nightmares, altered personas, and hidden fears.

The purpose of this story is to help veterans of all eras recognize that there is no longer a need to fight the “Demons of War” alone. Civilian and VA health communities understand the psychological transformation that haunts veterans.
