Camp Lejeune Survivors Face Critical Next Few Months

All we have to do is crack the door open, and their whole story will crumble into dust.

Camp Lejeune Developments

(CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C.) - The next few months will be a critical point in our fight. Right now tens of thousands of former Marines, Sailors, their dependents and former base employees have received their health surveys from ATSDR. It is imperative that as many of these surveys be completed and returned. There have been many questions and concerns about the survey, but I can assure you that it is of extreme importance that everyone participate. I received mine this week and will have it completed in the next 2 weeks. All surveys are due by the end of the year.

The second recent development is the placement of our documentary on the "short list" for a possible Academy Award nomination.

If we are fortunate to receive one of the 5 nominations on January 24, our issue will be catapulted into the national spotlight. If this indeed happens, a great deal of attention and pressure will be placed upon the USMC and Congress to take action for those who were exposed aboard the base.

Finally, today, the St Pete Times ran an article about Camp Lejeune as an update on the male breast cancer cluster. We continue to find more and more men with the disease from the base. If we can establish this disease (or any other groups of diseases) as a cluster, it will be end for the Marine Corps. All we have to do is crack the door open, and their whole story will crumble into dust. Please take a moment to support the St Pete Times and place a comment on their web link at:

Best wishes and I hope you and your family are well through the Holiday season.
