Oregon; A State of Transit Deception

Without real change, Oregon will remain a state of transit deception; superior now but in serious trouble for the future.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Public transportation in Oregon Look around the Willamette Valley and you will see the Max train running through Portland, buses riding through neighborhoods, and trains that cross state lines into Washington.

You may see all of this and think Oregon has public transportation pretty well figured out, as most people do, and reside in the comfort that with all the problems our country faces today, at least Oregon can get from point A to point B better than anyone else in America.

Two-Car Motor Vehicle Crash Sends Six People to the Hospital

One driver was cited for a right of way violation, both vehicles were totaled.

(SALEM, Ore.) - crash investigation Marion County Senior Deputy Todd Bay was headed to work Thursday afternoon when he came upon a serious motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Cordon Road NE and Swegle Road NE. It occurred at 5:34 p.m.

Medics were immediately called to treat the victims of the crash.

Police Investigating Death of Woman After Parking Lot Mishap

An elderly woman died after being knocked over by a vehicle in a parking lot. Police say there are no criminal circumstances, but they are investigating.

(TIGARD, Ore.) - Death investigation The Tigard Police Traffic Unit is investigating the death of a 90 year-old Tigard area woman. Police are working to determine if the victim died as a result of being struck while walking as a vehicle backed from a parking spot.

The incident occurred at the Tigard Towne Square shopping center located at 16200 SW Pacific Highway in Tigard on July 29th at approximately 1:45 pm.

Log Truck Driver Dies in Crash Near Vernonia

The driver's juvenile age son was extricated by rescue crews and transported by LifeFlight with serious injuries.

(VERNONIA, Ore.) - Fatal crash Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation of Thursday afternoon's log-truck involved fatal traffic crash on Highway 47 near Stoney Point Road north of Vernonia.

According to OSP Sergeant Larry Lucas, on July 22, 2010 at approximately 1:15 p.m. a loaded log truck driven by 33-year old Joshua Schultz of Vernonia, was northbound on Highway 47 near Stoney Point Road when, for an unknown reason, it traveled off the highway.

One Dies in Crash Near Roseburg

One person died and several were injured..

(ROSEBURG, Ore.) - OSP fatal crash Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers from the Roseburg Area Command office are continuing the investigation into Monday morning's fatal traffic crash just west of Winston that resulted in the death of one person and serious injuries to two others.

The names of the two people from Riddle in the vehicle occupied by the victim are being released.
