Newberg-Dundee Officer Involved in a Vehicle Crash

The officer involved in the crash has been identified as Anthony Obregon.

(NEWBERG, Ore.) - An officer of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department was involved in a crash Tuesday on Hwy 219 near Sitka. The officer was in uniform, driving a marked police car, and traveling Northbound on Hwy 219 when he reported observing a vehicle traveling Southbound without its head lights on.

The officer activated the emergency lights and attempted to make a traffic enforcement stop by performing a U-Turn at the Sitka intersection.

Fatal Traffic Crash - Highway 97 Near Chemult

(KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Sunday morning's two vehicle fatal traffic crash on Highway 97 about six miles south of the Klamath / Deschutes County line.

The crash resulted in the death of a 65-year old Chico, California woman and injuries to two Klamath Falls residents.

Train Crashes East of Baker City

No injuries were reported in connection with the derailment.

(BAKER CITY, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers from the LaGrande Area Command were part of a multi agency response to a train derailment that resulted in the closure of I-84 between Baker City and Ontario Friday afternoon.

Numerous cars from the westbound train derailed in close proximity to I-84 near milepost 335. The location of the derailment is approximately 30 miles east of Baker City, Oregon.

At Least 4 Seriously Hurt in Icy Jacknife Crash

Two had to be lifeflighted from the scene.

(LA PINE, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are investigating a head-on crash Monday morning that seriously injured at least four people and closed Highway 97 near La Pine for nearly four hours.

OSP says Monday at approximately 9:07 a.m. a 2006 Ford pickup pulling an empty 20-foot horse trailer operated by a 40-year old female was southbound on Highway 97 near milepost 169.

Woman Dies in Crash on Broadway Bridge

One person in the car reportedly left the scene...

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Police responded to a vehicle accident on the west end of the Broadway Bridge this morning at approximately 5:30 a.m.

Lt. Kelli Sheffer with the Portland Police Bureau, says investigators determined that the vehicle from this morning's crash was traveling westbound on the Broadway Bridge when the vehicle was unable to stay on the roadway to the Northwest Lovejoy off ramp.

(RAINIER, Ore.) - One person is confirmed deceased Tuesday morning following a two-vehicle fatal traffic crash on Highway 30 about three miles east of Rainier. Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers report Highway 30 is completely blocked and may be for several hours.
