Munger Leads George Fox Past Willamette Women`s Basketball

(SALEM, Oregon) - Bearcats logo Hannah Munger scored 25 points and grabbed 19 rebounds to lead George Fox University to a 60-38 victory over the Willamette women's basketball team on Tuesday, Nov. 30. The game was the first Northwest Conference contest of the season for each team. George Fox improved to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in the NWC. Willamette is now 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the NWC.

Big First Half Leads Raiders To Victory

(Ashland, Oregon) - Salem-News.com Sports The Southern Oregon women shot 55 percent from the field in the first half and cruised to an 81-64 victory over William Jessup tonight at McNeal Pavilion.

Southern Oregon improved to 5-4 on the season and opens Cascade Conference play Friday at Concordia. William Jessup dropped to 0-8 on the season.

No. 1 Concordia falls to Hastings 2-1 in Second Round of the NAIA Women`s Soccer National Championships

(DECATUR, Ala.) - Concordia University Athletics After squaring the match midway through the second half, a goal with just under five minutes remaining doomed the top-seeded Cavaliers as unseeded Hastings (Neb.) defeated Concordia University 2-1 in the Second Round of the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championships.

The loss was the lone blemish on Concordia's season as the Cavs ended the year with a 19-1-2 record. Hastings (16-4-2) will advance to the quarterfinals and will face either No. 9 William Carey (Miss.) or unseeded Houghton (N.Y.) on Wednesday, Dec. 1.

Hasay Named Honda Award Finalist

The sophomore is one of four finalists.

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Oregon Ducks Jordan Hasay has been named a finalist for the 2010 Honda Sports Award for cross country.

The sophomore from Arroyo Grande, Calif., who finished third at last week’s NCAA Championships, is one of four national finalists in the sport of cross country. The others are NCAA champion Shelia Reid of Villanova, Emily Infeld of Georgetown and Risper Kimaiy of Texas-El Paso.

No. 24 Ducks Rebuffed in NCAA Volleyball Tourney Announcement

(Eugene, Oregon) - Oregon Ducks After making four straight NCAA trips for the first time in school history, the No. 24 University of Oregon volleyball team (19-11, 7-11) fell just short of a fifth invitation in the 64-team tournament field announcement Sunday.

The tourney field was composed of single automatic qualifiers from each of the 31 nation’s conferences and 33 at-large teams.
