Scott M. Fishman, MD, Chief of Division of Pain Medicine at University of California, Davis wrote a book in 2007 entitled "Responsible Opioid Prescribing - A Physician's Guide" sponsored by the Federation of State Medical Boards.

One Man Shot, Police Seek Shooter

The Suspect is described as a Hispanic male, early 20's, approximately 5'8" in height and stocky build.

(SALEM OR) - Police car One man is shot in the arm tonight when he was walking along Silverton Rd NE in Salem.

Police say the suspect fired multiple shots at the victim before fleeing the scene in the sedan which was last seen traveling westbound on Silverton Rd NE.

The Sheriff's Office and the Buchholz family would like to thank all first responders, hospital staff, citizens, law enforcement and fire department personnel for their encouraging words, acts of kindness and family support.

Deputy Shot Near Salem - Suspect Remains At Large (VIDEO)

A shooting reportedly took place at a Christmas tree farm. One suspect is reportedly shot and one is at large.

(SALEM) - Police tape The Marion County Sheriff's Office is currently on scene and engaged in a very high risk tactical operation in the area of 117th and Sunnyview Road NE. The Sheriff's Office is being assisted by numerous agencies from inside of Marion County.

"We can confirm that multiple shots have been fired and one deputy has been injured. Although there is no immediate threat to the public we are encouraging neighbors in the area to remain indoors."

Man Shot After Being Pulled Over by Detective in Unmarked Police Car

"After a male subject quickly exited, he was shot and injured by the Salem Police detective..."

(ALBANY OR) - Police shooting Oregon State Police say a Salem Police detective driving an unmarked car shot a man on a public freeway Thursday night. It happened when the detective decided to pull a truck over for speeding and reckless driving on Interstate 5 near Halsey in Linn County.

Home Invasion Robbery Corvallis Police Seek Three Suspects

The victim was assaulted by one of the suspects prior to them leaving.

(CORVALLIS OR) - Police line During the subsequent investigation, officers learned three males, two of which were armed with handguns, entered the victim's residence and demanded money.

The victim complied with their demands and gave the suspects an undisclosed amount of money.

Bend Officer Involved in Fatal Shooting

The man was shot during the encounter with the police officer.

(BEND OR) - Police shooting The Oregon State Police Criminal Investigations Division and Deschutes County District Attorney's Office, with the assistance of Deschutes County Sheriff's Office and Bend Police Department, are investigating a Friday night fatal officer-involved shooting by a Bend police officer.

On November 22, 2013, at approximately 10:22 p.m., Bend police officers responded to a reported possible burglary-in-progress at 2878 NE Jackdaw Drive in Bend. The address was the location where earlier in the day Bend Police Department served a search warrant and seized illegally possessed firearms, heroin and methamphetamine.

8 Hour Standoff Ends With Rescue of 2-Year Old Child

The identities of the adult female shooting victim and her 2-year old child are being withheld at this time, pending notification of her family.

(TURNER, Or) - Turner Oregon police standoff 11-22-13 A 2-year old girl is safe and a Turner man is in custody following an 8-hour stand-off with law enforcement personnel on Friday night.

Responding to the report of a domestic disturbance, two Turner Police Officers arrived at an apartment complex in the 7300 block of Third Street SE, about 9:30pm. Shortly after arriving, they encountered a man and woman descending the stairs from a second story apartment.

Man Injured in North Salem Drive-by Shooting

The victim's home was struck several times, but the exact number of shots or type(s) of guns used is not known at this time.

(SALEM) - Bikes at scene of drive-by shooting in Salem Marion County Deputies were called to the 4000 block of Santiam Street NE in Salem at 10:44pm, Monday, on the report of several shots being fired.

Two Marion County units arrived in the area within 10 minutes. Their preliminary investigation revealed that the incident was an apparent drive-by shooting at a specific address.

Oregon`s Pfc. Cody Patterson Memorial Attended by Thousands

Many hundreds of motorcycles roared in and filled the parking areas.

(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - motorcycle clubs About 5,000 people are estimated to have been at the memorial service in Corvallis today to show their respect for an Oregon man killed by a suicide bomber on Oct 6 in Afghanistan. Philomath High School graduate Pfc. Cody James Patterson's memorial service was held at Oregon State University’s LaSells Stewart Center.

In addition to the thousands of family, friends and community members attending, were several Oregon Motorcycle Clubs and non-club members, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with other patriotic citizens to honor Cody Patterson.
