Turner Woman Dead and Husband Hospitalized with Gunshot Wounds

Detectives do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident

(TURNER, Ore.) - Turner gun fatal Deputies have identified the victim in last night's shooting as 52-year old Judy Stanfill, of Turner. Ms. Stanfill lived at her residence in the 5000 block of Ash Street with her husband, 53-year old Clayton Stanfill.

Mr. Stanfill is currently at the Salem Hospital where he is expected to recover. Deputies were called to the home at 4:26 p.m. Sunday, after a man, Clayton Stanfill, walked into the Turner Fire Department with a gunshot wound.

Plane Crash Kills Oregon Couple

The crash site was difficult to locate due to the weather and thick timber.

(KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore.) - fatal plane crash At 10:43 a.m., October 1st, an Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Trooper was working with a volunteer between Burton Butte and Old Baldy Mtn. in a remote section of western Klamath County near the Pacific Crest Trail when they heard a low flying airplane.

The plane sounded as if it was having engine trouble. The cloud cover was at treetop level and the airplane was not visible. Then the crash was heard, as the plane made impact with the ground, less than a mile away.

Oregon State Police responded about 7:00 pm to the Mill Beach area near Brookings, Oregon for a male subject that had slipped and fell approximately 50 feet onto rocks and into the ocean while climbing.

Salem Couple Sentenced to Prison for Selling Heroin

Heroin is a killer. Use has been increasing among men and women, most age groups, and all income levels.

(DALLAS, Ore.) - heroin Today, Polk County District Attorney Aaron Felton announced the conviction and sentencing of Jeffrey Bledsoe and Adrienne Santrizos.

The Salem couple was sentenced to prison terms of over 10 years and 7 1/2 years, respectively, for their roles in selling large quantities of heroin as part of an undercover drug enforcement operation.
