Acquittal of Another Haditha Marine Shows Overzealous Intent of Murtha and Military Prosecutors

Is John Murtha trapped in a time warp?

(SALEM, Ore.) - Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Chessani and U.S. Congressman John Murtha; two Marines from two completely different wars. We sure have come a long way since the dark days of the Vietnam War, or have we? Many blame the current administration for what is wrong with our nation today; the crumbling economy, thousands of war dead and mounting tens of thousands of injured, and one of the biggest criticisms is that we as a nation, failed to learn the lessons gained during that bitter war in SE Asia waged from '64 to '75.

The even bigger truth, may be that while we did not learn many lessons from that war, we also have failed to recognize the vast and stark differences between the people who fought in Vietnam and today's American combat forces.

Marine Who Lost Child From Contamination at Camp Lejeune will Appear in Washington

The culprits are the chemical agents TCE and PCE.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com A retired U.S. Marine who lost his daughter to leukemia from drinking contaminated water at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, will appear in front of a Senate Subcommittee next week to discuss the importance of maintaining a current database of information about the various risks brought about by chemical exposure.

Jerry Ensminger is one of thousands of former Marines, Marine family members and civilian base employees who were exposed to the contamination that is also faced by those who served at the now closed El Toro Marine Corps Air Station in Southern California.

Bill Would Allow Malpractice Lawsuits Against Military Doctors

The bill would provide fairness for veterans who are misdiagnosed and harmed by doctors.

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Marine Sgt. Carmelo Rodriquez Members of the U.S. armed forces would be able to sue the military for medical malpractice, under a bill introduced in Congress.

Legal Newsline reported on Friday that Rep. Maurice Hinchey, a New York Democrat, has introduced the Carmelo Rodriquez Military Medical Accountability Act to reverse a 1950 U.S. Supreme Court that protects the military from malpractice lawsuits.
