More Casualties in Afghanistan and Iraq

Military personnel are dying from combat in Afghanistan, and non-combat related incidents in Iraq.

(SALEM, Ore.) - War casualties The Department of Defense has announced the deaths of four servicemen who have died in recent days fighting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

People mentioned in this report lost their lives due to mine detonation, an explosion from an improvised explosive device, and two of the deaths are non-combat related. What sets the circumstances apart is that both in Iraq were non-combat related, and both deaths in Afghanistan were a direct result of combat.

VA and Battlefield Fatigue Mean Anguish & Disgust for Veterans

There is no adequate or proper care. After we have faithfully served and many of us died, why won’t the congress invest the money to take proper care of us?

(SALEM, Ore.) - Image from the book WWII by James Jones I have been reading Dr. Phil Leveques articles about PTSD and the miserable treatment of these guys by the VA. The same has happened to me in the mid-west.

I’m not going to state where I am for I am a current victim of VA’s questionable treatment and I fully agree with him. I wish we PTSD Vets could do something about it but it appears the drug companies and even the congress are complicit in our miserable care.

The 442nd Regimental Combat Team:
Most Decorated American Unit in WWII

In the 442nd Regiment they were awarded 9000 Purple Hearts (many doubles and triples), 18,000 individual decorations including 1 Congressional, 52 Distinguished Service Crosses, 600 Silver Stars, 5200 Bronze Stars, 15 battlefield commissions and many others.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - 442nd Regiment The Oregonian on March 27th had a front page story about a very belated effort to recognize this outfit by a postage stamp which so far has been prejudicially declined by the U.S. Postal Service. Why?

As a frontline Combat infantryman I hail the effort to finally recognize their unparalleled brave service but I decry this continuing prejudice.

The report was highly critical of Hutchinson for lumping marijuana into a group with drugs like "cocaine" and "methamphetamine". The problem is that we aren't supposed to compare apples and oranges.
