Beavers QB Sean Mannion Named to the Manning Award Watch List

In 2013, Mannion set the league’s single season passing record with 4,662 yards and a school-record with 37 touchdown tosses.

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - Oregon State senior quarterback Sean Mannion was named to The Manning Award watch list Thursday.

The watch list for the Manning Award, sponsored by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, includes 32 of the top quarterbacks in the nation heading into the 2014 season.

Oregon State Football Training Camp airs Friday at 9:00 p.m. and features interviews and analysis by hosts Mike Yam, Rick Neuheisel and Curtis Conway, the former USC wide receiver who was coached by then Trojan offensive coordinator Mike Riley.

In the first three days of practice cornerback Naji Patrick has shown a knack for generating big plays.

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - Day 3 of fall camp arrived on Wednesday and brought with it shoulder pads and a lot more physicality.

The Beavers lined up for 11-on-11 drills for the first time and the big fellas along both sides of the line looked like they’ve been aching to hit someone for quite a while. Gavin Andrews in particular looked as if he planned to hit everyone in a black jersey.

After a long offseason, the players were happy to have a chance to get back on the field together.

With a number of new players intertwined with some familiar faces, Oregon State is poised for an exciting year, as it moves closer to its season opener against Stephen F. Austin on Aug. 22.

On Tuesday Bolden, who is a candidate for the Paul Hornung Award, showed that the potential is there to provide big plays for the Beavers.

It’s the first preseason event of the year with the season opener just a few short weeks away on Aug. 30 vs. Portland State.

For Oregon State QB Pre-Season Awards Keep Coming In

Sean Mannion has started 32 career games for the Beavers and has set numerous school and league records,

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - The preseason national honors continue for Oregon State record setting quarterback Sean Mannion. The senior has been added to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Watch List, it was announced by the Golden Arm Foundation of Baltimore.

Mannion is already on the preliminary watch lists for the Walter Camp, Davey O’Brien and Maxwell honors.

NBA: Former Oregon State Star Signs With Kings

Moreland averaged 3.5 points, 8.8 rebounds, a team-high 2.7 blocks in six games off the bench for the Kings NBA Summer League Championship squad.

(SACRAMENTO, Calif. ) - Former Oregon State men’s basketball standout Eric Moreland signed a contract with the Sacramento Kings, the team’s General Manager Pete D’Alessandro announced Wednesday.

“It has been a goal of mine since I started playing basketball to play in the NBA,” Moreland said.
