(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - It’s “Full Gear Friday” tomorrow at the Tommy Prothro Football Complex and just in time for a visit from the Pac-12 Networks as the third installment of Football Training Camp comes to Corvallis. Oregon State Football Training Camp airs Friday at 9:00 p.m. and features interviews and analysis by hosts Mike Yam, Rick Neuheisel and Curtis Conway, the former USC wide receiver who was coached by then Trojan offensive coordinator Mike Riley. The trio will take an inside look at the program, including a feature on the team’s nutrition habits – guaranteed to make you hungry for a late-night snack. Thursday was the final day of what has been a week-long farewell for one of the Beavers’ beat reporters, Stephen Nelson from KEZI-TV in Eugene. Nelson, who has covered OSU for the past two-plus years, is moving on to New York City to work for Bleacher Report. There were bro-hugs all around for Nelson from players, coaches and fellow media members and concluded with an on camera interview with the athletic communcations staff. Who knows, maybe Stephen will dare to post it on social media someday. Congratulations and best wishes to an extremely likable and professional reporter from the entire Oregon State Athletic Department. On the practice field, freshman Ryan Nall has officially moved to running back and has looked good there so far. The 6-for-2, 241-pound bruiser offers a different dimension that OSU’s other rushers. Speaking of rushers, redshirt freshman Damien Haskins (knee) continues to run on the side during practice as he is progressing toward a return to practice next week. In addition, fifth-year transfer Iona Pritchard, who arrived as a fullback, worked with the tight end group today. Senior cornerback Steven Nelson was among the players fielding punts Thursday, and showed he is extremely talented with the ball in his hands. A few odds and ends to report: Dan Patrick declared on “The Dan Patrick Show” he has former Oregon State great Brandin Cooks as his prediction for the NFL Rookie of the Year. Forbes recently released its list of “The Best College Football Coaches For the Money” and our own head coach made the list checking in at No. 21. Source: Oregon State Athletics
