(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - The preseason national honors continue for Oregon State record setting quarterback Sean Mannion. The senior has been added to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Watch List, it was announced by the Golden Arm Foundation of Baltimore.

Mannion is already on the preliminary watch lists for the Walter Camp, Davey O’Brien and Maxwell honors. The three-year team captain (first in school history) has 10,436 career passing yards and is on pace to break the Pac-12 record that is held by former USC Trojan Matt Barkley at 12,274.

The senior from Pleasanton, Calif., has started 32 career games for the Beavers and has set numerous school and league records, including the Conference’s single season passing mark last season with 4,662 yards.

Mannion has already had a banner 2014, recently winning the Elite 11 counselors’ challenge at Nike in Beaverton and the 2014 Manning Passing Academy Air-It-Out Challenge in Louisiana.

Oregon State returns to the practice field Mon., Aug. 4 at 10:20 a.m. in preparation for the 2014 season that begins Aug. 30 against Portland State.
