Oregon State Football Fall Camp Notes Day #5

(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) - The Beavers finally finished the NCAA-mandated acclimatization period Friday and donned full pads for the first time this fall.

The pads were popping with more interaction between the offense and defense than we’ve seen thus far.

Pac-12 Networks is on campus for the Networks’ third installment of Football Training Camp which will debut tonight at 9:00 p.m. and will feature interviews and analysis by hosts Mike Yam, Rick Neuheisel, Curtis Conway and Nick Aliotti.

A host of Beavers including Sean Mannion, Richard Mullaney, Terron Ward, Storm Woods, Connor Hamlett and Dylan Wynn were on the set following practice. The show re-airs at Friday at 11:00 p.m., Sat. at 2:00 a.m., 6:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and Sun. at 4:00 a.m. and also is available at Pac-12.com.

Speaking of post practice activities, Friday was also the team’s annual water balloon fight. No teams were assigned nevertheless Wynn declared himself the winner and also noted that he hit Aliotti, whose brother Joe was the Dean of Students at De La Salle High School where Wynn is an alumnus, with three balloons.

Mark Kiszla from the Denver Post noted on Twitter yesterday that Mannion has a big fan in Peyton Manning.

former OSU receiver Kevin Cummings is joining the football staff as an associate student intern for the wide receivers. Cummings, who played for the Portland Thunder of the Arena Football League, will officially start on Monday.
