I was totally befuddled to read in the Oregonian newspaper August 1st, 2007, of a research study stating that smoking one marijuana joint is as bad for the lungs as five tobacco cigarettes.

Cannabis/marijuana had never killed anybody in the probable 5,000 years of its use in medicine.

The New York Times published on July 10, 2012 that Methadone accounted for about 1/3 of deaths caused by opiate and opioids pain relievers in 2009 but they didn’t give the actual figure.
The opiate, Oxycodone, causes the most deaths followed by hydrocodone, (Vicodin) and Morphine but the opioid Methadone which had been used mostly to get addicts off heroin is now widely used as a pain killer.
So says The Oregonian... and patients can get a legal Marinol prescription
(MOLALLA, OR) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Social Security Department, U.S.D.A. Food and Nutrition Service, with the connivance of many government anti-marijuana offices, has decided to kick disabled, destitute medical marijuana patients in the guts AGAIN with totally egregious erroneous statements that, "Marijuana has no currently accepted medical use and can not be prescribed for any medicinal use." Ridiculous.

What the 'Gateway Drug' is has been bandied about for many years. Whether it is/was beer, tobacco, chocolate, Starbucks, pizza, Coca Cola or pancakes, or whatever else is still very controversial.
The ignorant severe critics say that it is marijuana. Unknown to them in their ignorance, they are only about half correct. The gateway drug is Anandamide which is in mother's milk and the first 'drug' any infant will ingest.
Military sex and violence will not go away.
