Another positive showing for the use of medical marijuana.
(HELENA, MT) -
One of Montana's youngest medical cannabis card holders is Cash Hyde, a 2 ½-year-old boy who battled a brain tumor and won.
Cash's dad, Michael Hyde, says the drug helped Cash with his battle. "I believe that, you know, Cash's with us for a lot of reasons, one of them I would have to say is the power of prayer, one he's a walking miracle and the other one is he is a patient of medical cannabis..." said Hyde.
What about the medical side of medical marijuana?
(PORTLAND, OR) -
The Oregonian, previously to its several current positive articles, has been egregiously against any aspect of medical marijuana from the start in 1999 using the words “pothead”, “pot doctors”, “illegal drugs” and any pejorative word in their “pot lexicon”.
The current barrage of positive articles, especially those by Noelle Crombie, are a refreshing change but she hasn’t yet written about the medical side...
Regulating marijuana for adults would also remove baseless argument for hemp ban
(SALEM) -
Former Oregon Secretary of State Bill Bradbury has officially endorsed Measure 80.
Measure 80 would replace Oregon’s failed system of marijuana prohibition with an effective taxation-and-regulation model that would allow adults 21 and older to purchase cannabis at state-licensed stores only.
Oregon has in years past spent more than $60 million annually on marijuana-related offenses... - Harvard economist Jeffrey Miron
(PORTLAND, OR) -
The Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (OCDLA) has officially endorsed Measure 80.
“Oregon is now engaged in a great debate across the public safety spectrum to seek and adopt rational evidence-based policies that will make our state and people safer,” said Lane Borg, OCDLA president.
Doug Darrell's first trial ended in a mistrial last November due to prosecutorial error. His second trial ended in yesterday's acquittal.
(BARNSTEAD, NH) -
New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch signed a bill declaring that "in all criminal proceedings the court shall permit the defense to inform the jury of its right to judge the facts and the application of the law in relation to the facts in controversy."
Although the new law does not take effect until next January, a case decided yesterday in Belknap County illustrates the importance of the nullification power it recognizes.
THE SILVER TOUR of TEMPLES AND SYNAGOGUES
(MOLALLA, Ore.) -
FOR CANNABIS FOR GRANDMA
(Kaneh Bosum in Hebrew)
DEA Judge Francis Young says: “Cannabis is one of the safest drugs known to man.”
GOOD FOR ARTHRITIS
GOOD FOR ALL SPASMS
GOOD FOR MIGRAINES...
Right up front, I'm going to say not everyone is a good fit for marijuana. Some get nervous, paranoid or uncomfortable. If it bothers you do NOT use it. That's my disclaimer.
(PORTLAND, OR) -
With more and more folks using marijuana as medicine, nearly 60,000 in Oregon alone and now literally hundreds of thousands in California, the establishment employers are worrying about employees being high on the job.
“Can't have these people using equipment and machinery” I can hear them saying. “We could be in danger from them.” So just what is under the influence anyway”.
