Campus Shooting Terrifies Northern Illinois University

Another campus shooting incident leaves many people injured and a gunman dead by his own hand.

(DEKALB, Illinois) - School shooting At 3:20 PM today, Northern Illinois University issued this message to their students and faculty: "There has been a report of a possible gunman on campus. Get to a safe area and take precautions until given the all clear. Avoid the King Commons and all buildings in that vicinity."

Half an hour later, it was confirmed that there has been a shooting on campus and several people have been taken away by ambulance.

Investigators Say Drive-By Shooting in Aloha is Gang Related

The Gang Team with Aloha Police would like to hear from anyone with information about this shooting.

(ALOHA, Ore.) - Drive by shooting Nobody was injured in a drive-by shooting that was reported at 19965 S.W. York Street in Aloha early this morning, just after midnight. Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff's Office were called out to investigate.

Sgt. David Thompson with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, says several bullets struck the occupied house, but no one inside was injured. The Interagency Gang Enforcement Team is investigating the shooting.

Oregon Medical Examiner Releases Autopsy Results in Police Involved Shooting

The name of the Clackamas County Sheriff's deputy directly involved in this shooting will be released later this week.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office has performed an autopsy on the armed male subject who died as a result of an armed confrontation with Clackamas County Sheriff's Patrol personnel on Saturday, February 9th, on SE 132nd Avenue, in Clackamas.

The forensic autopsy was conducted by Dr. Larry Lewman in Clackamas. The deceased is identified as 31-year old Aaron Damien Ganon.

Armed Suspect Shot And Killed In Clackamas County

Investigators say the man had a history of prior suicide attempts in the past.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Police shooting A report of a ‘man with a gun call' in Clackamas led to a deadly police shooting Saturday night at the Twin Creek Apartments, 11500 SE Sunnyside Road, in Clackamas. The report of a domestic disturbance was received by dispatchers at approximately 11:00 PM.

Jim Strovink with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says patrol units responded to the area where they found the suspect in a vehicle leaving the area.

New Vehicle Information in Highway 26 Shooting Investigation

Police hope photo of vehicle of interest and suspect composite sketch will lead them to the shooter.

(ZIG ZAG, Ore.) - Photos in shooting investigation from 12-10-07 in Zig Zag, Oregon Photos of the vehicle of interest in the December 10th shooting of two men on Highway 26 in the Zig Zag area have been released by Oregon State Police. Investigators recently released a composite drawing of an unidentified suspect to help develop tips in their ongoing investigation.

A witness described the vehicle of interest behind the victims' van as a dark green early 2000 model Honda Civic. At this time it is not known if the vehicle was a two or four door model, but police believe the driver is the person that shot the two men.

Sketch of Highway 26 Shooting Suspect Released

One of the men shot December 10th remains in a Portland-area hospital.

(ZIG ZAG, Ore.) - Sketch of shooting suspect from December 10, 2007 incident in Zig Zag Oregon A composite drawing of an unidentified suspect has been released by Oregon State Police. The man is sought in connection with the December 10th shooting of two men on Highway 26 in the Zig Zag area that seriously wounded both men.

In addition to the composite drawing released today, two segments of dispatch recordings were previously released to help develop information and leads with the ongoing investigation.

Eight Victims and Suicidal Gunman Die in Nebraska Mall (VIDEO)

President George W. Bush, visited Omaha earlier on Wednesday morning, he had left the city hours before the incident.

(OMAHA, Nebraska) - Deadly mall shooting Police in Omaha, Nebraska say a 19-year-old man opened fire with a rifle in a crowded shopping center today, killing eight Christmas shoppers before taking his own life. It happened in Omaha's Westroads Mall.

Topix.com reports that the shooter from Sarpy County left a suicide note saying, "I'm going out in style." Nebraska television station KETV identified the dead assailant as 19-year old Robert Hawkins.

Redskins Sean Taylor in Critical Condition Following Shooting

Pro Football Talk is reporting that Taylor is "fighting for his life."

(MIAMI) - Sean Taylor Media reports out of Miami say Washington Redskins free safety Sean Taylor is in extremely critical condition at this hour, after someone shot him at his home early Monday morning.

WSVN-TV says Taylor, 24, was shot in the leg, but bullet struck the femoral artery, and he has lost a lot of blood.

Taylor, a former University of Miami football player, missed his second straight game on Sunday with a sprained right knee. Due to his ferocious style of hitting, his teammates nicknamed him "Meast".

7 Kids, Principal Killed During High School Shooting in Finland

Ten children are being treated for light injuries at Hyvinkaeae hospital.

(TUUSULA, Finland) - school shooting finland Seven schoolchildren and their principal were killed after an 18-year-old gunman opened fire at Jokela High School in southern Finland, just hours after a video was posted on YouTube predicting a school massacre.

Armed with a handgun, the teen started shooting during lessons at the secondary school in Tuusula, killing five boys and two girls as well as the principal, police said at a news conference.

The siege was over just after 2:00 PM British time authorities said.
