Roger Christie Scheduled for Court Monday

Reverend Christie faces anywhere from 5 to 40 years in federal prison, as does his wife who also faces the same charges, though she remains free pending her trial.

(COTTAGE GROVE) - Roger and Shar Christie Hawaii Cannabis Ministry founder Roger Christie, has been in Honolulu federal prison without bail for exactly 1,117 days as of today, on charges related to alleged cannabis possession and distribution.

Three federal judges claim that Christie – Reverend of THC Ministry and one of Hawaii’s strongest advocates of cannabis – is a "danger to society" and have detained him since the 8th of July 2010.

During the 1860’s Cannabis/Marijuana was used in the U.S. to get addicted people off alcohol, tobacco and opium, and it was very successful in doing so. Many Civil War veterans were addicted to all three of these.

About that time, Morphine and the hypodermic syringe were invented, which gave doctors real control of pain and brought about the concept that a physician’s first obligation to his patients was to control pain. It was far nicer and safer than opium or alcohol.

GulfLive.com) - Dr. David Bruce Allen Dr. David Bruce Allen, the former heart surgeon who was held in prison for 14 months on drug charges that were eventually dismissed, returned to Jackson County last week and testified in a deposition connected to his $551 million federal lawsuit against Jackson County and Sheriff Mike Byrd.

"I testified about two or three hours with the (county) board attorney and my attorney Michael Crosby," Allen said Monday.

Some people have been making a big turmoil about the reflex tachycardia after the use of Cannabis/Marijuana (C/MJ). Here's the skinny: C/MJ causes generalized vasodilation, reduced blood pressure, and reflex tachycardia which in general is harmless and it occurs every time a person uses this medication.

PTSD Causes Heart Disease: Marijuana Helps Prevent it!

What's good for the heart muscle, is good to know

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Afghan-Iraq memorial The Journal of the American College of Cardiology just printed an article that PTSD more than doubled the likelihood of heart disease such as heart attacks, had a heart procedure or has been hospitalized for a heart problem. Those with PTSD had 22% problems those without 9%. The cause was less blood flow to the heart muscle.

A leading doctor in the study was Dr. Viola Vaccarino of Emery University who studied that it was known that PTSD victims had higher levels of stress hormones.

I took my title from recent newspaper and TV news that “Drug Overdose Deaths Spike Among Middle-aged Women”, another article was “Alcohol and Women: Complex Mix Gets a Closer Look”.

In my observations, women have been stressed out since we humans climbed out of the trees, some 50,000 years ago, but things have progressed in recent years.
