Visiting Nasser

The tents are flapping in the wind, you can see the two thin mattresses on the floor...

(GAZA) - Nasser's Gaza home It’s stormy, the wind is whipping through the trees, and scattered rain drops hit us in the face as we go down the muddy dirt road to Nasser's house. It’s a few hundred yards from the couple of houses around the cemetery, which form the village of Juhor al-Dik, to his small house near the border.

"Goodbye," shouted the driver who will pick us up from this remote area again, and with a look at the path we chose he added laughingly: "Insha Allah - God willing."

Countering the Incursions of the Axis of Kleptocracy.

(ALBERTA, Canada) - Salem-News.com In responding to the worldwide protests aimed at stopping the US-led invasion of Iraq, The New York Times referred in 2003 to the existence of a new global superpower, that of world public opinion.

Our Veto in the Security Council

I predict that future historians will mark this event as the moment when the sun began to set over the American Empire that emerged after World War II.

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - UN veto on ice When we vetoed the resolution on Israeli settlements in the UN Security Council, something that had been pretty clear before became crystal clear, at least to the rest of the world.

No more fig leaf, no more excuses, we now stand naked before the eyes of the rest of humanity. It is now commonly understood that at all times, under all imaginable circumstances, when little Israel cracks the whip, the American colossus obeys.

America Change Your Policies in the Mideast Or Lose It

Your choice. Change now or forever hold your tongue and bombs. Time is running out. by

(WASHINGTON D.C.) - Muammar Al-Ghaddafi In a few days, or less, Libya will be free from the 42 year rule of the mentally unstable, psychotic, arrogant, divisive, condescending, megalomaniacal leader and self proclaimed “King of Africa.” –Muammar Al-Ghaddafi.

Unlike the deposed Tunisian and Egyptian leaders, Al Ghaddafi is despised by all other Arab tyrants, thus he’ll have no home outside of Libya unless some African nation has pity on this butcher of his people.

Benghazi; Libyans in Rebellion Mood in the Spirit of Omar Mukhtar

Candid observations on Libya and world revolution.

(UGANDA) - Omar Mukhtar To some of us, the revolution that is spreading like a bushfire in North Africa and elsewhere in the Arab world including the Horn of Africa might have lost its appeal as a juicy news.

Yet,to people who always maintain a sense of history, the uprisings that sparked off in Tunisia and got transmitted to Egypt after rubbing some of its flame on Algeria before it crossed to the Arabian land in Yemen and Bahrain only to be back again to rock the establishment in Libya, remain an interesting phenomenon to be scrutinized.

Turning Against Mu`ammar Gaddafi of Libya

Nureddin Sabir recounts a painful journey of hope, disappointment, betrayal, blood and murder that has seen him turn from loyal supporter to vehement opponent of Colonel Mu’ammar Gaddafi and his regime in Libya.

Traipsing Through The Media Muddied Waters of Revolution

In a fashion very reminiscent of how the Israeli Occupying Forces behaved during Cast Lead, ambulances and EMT's, Red Crescent and other human rights representatives were not allowed to enter areas where wounded were located.

US Vetoes Anti-Settlement Resolution

The US veto of the UN anti-settlement resolution is jarringly out of step with the demand for democracy from Middle East Arabs, including Palestinians. The old order is rapidly changing.

(CHICAGO) - Settlements in Palestine The US has cast its first Obama UN veto, rejecting a Security Council resolution which would have condemned Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories “as an obstacle to peace”.

The BBC reported that “all 14 other members of the Security Council backed the resolution, which had been endorsed by the Palestine Liberation Organisation.”
