(GAZA) - To everyone who knows injustice, everyone who knows tyranny: we are all brothers and sisters with the people of Palestine. Let us act like it and let us march on Gaza on March 4th, 2011.
Let us amass in the greatest numbers possible, and let us march week after week if necessary, to make Rafah Crossing an open border. To achieve this would render the Israeli/American lead blockade useless. That would signal another mortal blow to American Imperialism and Israeli Zionism. If that isn’t worth fighting for, then what is?
The people of Gaza are as deserving of real support as any people on Earth. For decades, our actions (or lack thereof) have translated into a brutal existence for them, with perpetual trauma and violence.
Despite this, the people of Palestine have not become the monsters who imprison and slaughter them. They remain Palestinian - among the most generous and hospitable people you will ever meet. Now is the time to begin acting as brothers and sisters and commence to the liberation of the people of Palestine.
The Plan: A march to the Rafah Crossing, MARCH 4, 2011. The starting point is tentatively set to begin from a tea house approximately a kilometer distance from the gate.
The Strategy: To use the force of public opinion to persuade new leadership in Egypt that it's time for change.
The Objective: To free the people of Gaza and end Egypt's support for Israel's collective punishment.
There is not one Egyptian in their right mind that would endorse a continuation of the Egypt under Mubarak blockade of Gaza. To the contrary, it has shamed the people of Egypt for far too long.
Why not end it now? Is there any sane, right-minded person who supports the blatant and brutal collective punishment of the people of Gaza? If not, why would it carry on?
There is only one reason: because we allow it.
We should carry on with what the people of Egypt started; they got rid of the dictator - let us, people of conscience, once and for all smash to pieces the abominable Egyptian blockade of Gaza.
At this very moment, there are people in Gaza who will likely die soon if they cannot access medical treatment outside of Gaza. Shall these people be left to die? There are building materials needed, yet denied, and thus the rebuilding of Gaza remains impossible. All of this preventable suffering and death continues, day-by-day; a human-caused catastrophe due to the Egypt-under-Mubarak blockade of Gaza. But there is no Mubarak, so there is no longer an excuse.
People of conscience, supporters of Palestine and Egypt, wherever you come from, come to Egypt in the days leading up to MARCH 4th. Travel to the port city of Al Arish and prepare to march on “The Day of Liberation” for the people of Palestine, in Gaza.
From the Egyptian side, we shall march from Al Arish to Rafah Crossing (about 35 km/22 miles). On the Gazan side, we shall demonstrate in support of this peoples’ liberation and we shall greet the marchers when they arrive.

Ken O'Keefe is a former U.S. Marine who served in the 1991 Gulf War and subsequently spoke out about the use of depleted uranium as a "crime against humanity" and the US military using soldiers as "human guinea pigs" with experimental drugs that were directly linked to Gulf War syndrome. He is also a social entrepreneur utilizing direct action marine conservation, he is more widely known for leading the human shield action to Iraq and as a survivor of the Israeli attack on the MV Mavi Marmara in which he participated in "defending the ship" and "disarming two Israeli Commandos". On January 7, 2004, O'Keefe burned his US passport in protest of "American Imperialism" and called for US troops to immediately withdrawal from Iraq. He replaced his US passport with a "World Passport", subsequently proclaiming himself a "Citizen of the World" with “ultimate allegiance to my entire human family and to planet Earth." Editor (Tim King): Hey Morris, you guys are going to lose this one, you can only get so far with evil in this world before human beings put their foot down, with or without the backing of any lapdog governments. Hey, have you seen 'Valley of the Wolves- Palestine' yet? I'm just saying, if you want to know what people really think, you can. Of course you would have to pull your head out of your ass first and we won't hold our breath for that, though I sure hope you are. You are losing control. and don't forget that human strength will break the back of any entity that the world turns against. And remember this, it isn't about 'Jewish' people and it really isn't about 'Israeli' people, only some of them. The point is that Israel has increasing numbers of peace activists that are strong hearted heroes. You're in trouble.

Israel’s existence is irrefutably based on ethno-religious centrism. Zionism is a racist, exclusionary, geo-political religious ideology manifested as a national government and no amount of pro-Israel propaganda can change that fact. The world is stuck with Israel, thanks to the British, Russians and Americans. As I have said before, as an American I want a political divorce from Zionism, and no more alimony to Israel.
[Return to Top]Also, the continual name calling by vehement Zionists (such as calling non-Zionist Jews “self-hating Jews”) is so infantile and irrational it is ridiculous. Zionism is what is irrational.
No matter what flavor of Zionist punch is being poured, I and more and more Americans are deciding not to drink it. It tastes racist and bitter.
I hope the people of Israel change their government and repudiate Zionism. Israel's "Law of Return" is racist too.
