Terrorists Kill People

This is a fundamental issue, it is time to examine the government's use of a killer buzz word that can strip you of your rights as an American.

(SALEM) - Occupied Palestine photo of graffiti on a wall Strange title I know, but we're in strange times. Terrorism is the use of terror in attacking or controlling a perceived enemy. Terrorism is understood by some people on some levels, but by and large it has been used to describe anyone who refuses to accept oppression, and fights back.

Those who the developed nations brand "terrorist" are almost always poor; they generally are getting the hell blasted out of them by U.S. made weapons and they violently resist with whatever they can place their hands on.

Oliver Goldsmith Look Out!

The song is an expression of Jamal’s wish to encourage others to join with him and the whole TJP movement to work to build a more truthful, more just, and more peaceful world. It is a big step for a man, an even bigger step for a boy.

(BOSTON) - Truth Justice Peace Oliver Goldsmith! Look out! Jamal Belica’s latest song, World Citizen: Giving It My All, is articulating a new view of the world citizen: bold and aggressive; quite the opposite of the genteel Chinese traveler Lien Chi sojourning in London two and a half centuries ago whom Goldsmith used to satirize the follies and foibles of 18th-century British society in his The Citizen of the World.

Instead, Jamal’s world citizen has muscles and faces the unpleasant realities of the world we live in unflinchingly.

IGNORING THE LURE: Materialism`s Backlash

Wealthy glitter does not impress me or define my inner value. There is no price tag to my principles. These remain the cornerstone of my reason for being.

(SALEM) - Fishing lure With Christmas Season in full swing and the jingle of cash registers growing ever louder, my sweet spouse asked me how I formed my attitudes about not being swallowed up by Mr. Materialism. If was a question I had never pondered before.

Most education really begins in the home rather than the school. Your parents become your de facto teachers in values education.

When the Gods Changed: Book Review

The courageous American who reads When the Gods Changed with an open mind, will be amply rewarded with insights on how to improve their own dysfunctional politics.

(CALGARY, Alberta) - Peter C. Newman It’s the rare American who actually knows anything accurate about Canada—or even cares. But here we are, living in what Robertson Davies called North America’s attic. (I consider Davies to be Canada’s greatest novelist—and certainly among the top ten of the world—in the same company as writers such as John Steinbeck, Ken Follett and Wilbur Smith.)

Since we attic lodgers elected a conservative government on May 2, 2011, it’s no surprise that conservatives on the floor below have been saying (through comments on this site) that it’s now only a matter time until the Canadian people—who have now seen the light— will follow the American political example.

`Oh, my beautiful phallus...`

Writers' deliriums about circumcision (Derrida, Lacan, Mandelbaum and Roth) against filmmakers' common sense (Allen, Burman)

(PARIS, France) - Livia Manera Sambuy Livia Manera Sambuy, is a journalist at the Corriere della sera and the director of the film "Phillip Roth sans complexes" (Cintévé et Arte) affirms that Roth hates Woody Allen.

And with good reason; when the hero of "Deconstructing Harry" – played by Woody Allen himself – addresses his son whom he did not have mutilated, he tells him: "You won't look like dad." At the contrary, Zuckerman, Phillip Roth's hero and alter ego, holds his wife the abject, delirious discourse of the sect, so that in this opportunity, Roth should really rise up against Zuckerman if he wishes to get the literature Nobel Prize...

Medical Marijuana Research: U.S. Ardently Supports It

Lies, damned lies and statistics!

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Drug Czar Gil Kerlikowske This headline will come as a violent surprise to 300 million Americans. This story was prompted by an article by Paul Armenteno of NORML, from a Washington Post exchange by Tennessee Congressman Steven Cohen, who wants the Obama Administration to change cannabis from Schedule I to Schedule II.

And Drug Czar Gil Kerlikowske, who responded by stating that the government, "ardently supports medical marijuana research".

Should we continue to tolerate intolerance?

Tolerance is fast becoming extinct and being replaced by political correctness which is simply a term used to rationalize and /or justify intolerance.

(HARRISVILLE, N.H.) - Salem-News.com At what point do we recognize that political correctness is just that... a politically motivated bastardization of whom we are, what we believe, and what we do? When did we become so ultra-sensitive that we cannot tolerate another’s opinion or beliefs as long as they are not harmful and do not infringe upon the rights or freedoms of another?

Every year the situation seems to worsen. One or two more things that have always been accepted as the norm become forbidden territory.

Angels, Parents and Proverbs... Double Shot of Sunday Poetry

An Angel Is In The Midst 'Exodus 23' Angels and As Parents Remember Proverbs 22: 6 & Ecclesiastes 7: 1.

(CLEVELAND) - Faith It is a good time for human beings to be on alert and paying attention to the world around them... the one that they can see is damaged, hurting and increasingly frail.

While alive, in the physical realm, we exist in a place that we simultaenously destroy with war and profit ventures; we do it knowing that most of us are helpless and those in power don't care about the right things, they care about stuffing their wallets often at the expense of the poor and little else.
