Freedom of or from religion?

Perhaps there is a god; he’s just tired of Americans, being so full of themselves.

(Calgary, Alberta) - Salem-News.com Outside the Islamic world, the U.S. is the most religious nation on earth. Canada and the European nations are all nominally religious in orientation, but no one takes their religion more seriously than the American people.

The Constitution supposedly guarantees the separation of church and state but in reality, it does no such thing.

International Women Rise to Action Against Female Genital Mutilation

(NEW YORK) - Girls at-risk for FGM at the initiation of a new campaign against FGM in Bashar, Nigeria As the two week long international conference of the UN Commission on the Status of Women comes to a close on Friday, women are charged to fight all forms of violence against women.

During the conference, there were several sessions on female genital mutilation (FGM) also known as female circumcision, including an "End FGM" concert and a call for support of the UN Global Ban against the practice.

Amnesty Urges RI to Ban Genital Mutilation

In November 2010, the Health Ministry issued a regulation that legitimizes the practice of female genital mutilation.

(JAKARTA, Indonesia) - Female genital mutilation To mark International Women’s Day on Thursday, human rights watchdog Amnesty International is called on the Indonesian government to repeal a 2010 government regulation permitting “female circumcision”.

The London-based organization also suggested that authorities help eliminate the practice by enacting specific legislation with appropriate penalties prohibiting all forms of female genital mutilation.

Marijuana Finally Recognized by The Oregonian, Part 2

More than five U.S. Presidents were known marijuana users.

(MOLALLA, OR) - Medical marijuana I would guess that the Oregonian will not write a story about the 101 comments they received on this subject but it is necessary to do so.

I read all of the comments, in here is the first part of my critique. Thirty-three comments were quite positive for Marijuana. Twenty were against, some most vehemently (more later).
