Neglected Horses Seized in South Salem

The horses were thoroughbreds and quarter horses, but also included a Missouri Fox Trotter.

(Salem, Oregon) - Malnourished Mare Responding to an anonymous tip, Marion County deputies executed a search warrant, seized control of 16 neglected horses and arrested their owner on Tuesday afternoon.

The horses were found in a pasture and a barn on property in the 6800 block of Skyline Road South, in Salem.

Horse Fatally Shot Near Silverton

The investigation has been classified as an Aggravated Animal Abuse 1, a class C felony.

(SILVERTON, Ore.) - Miss Echo shot near Silverton Oregon Numerous residents in the 17000 block of South Abiqua Road reported hearing the sound of a single rifle shot around 6:05pm, Monday.

The initial caller reported that the shot came from an area very close to the field where a horse was grazing.

West Salem Plaid Pantry Robbed Monday Night

Plaid Pantry has posted a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in this case.

(Salem, Oregon) - Plaid Pantry surveillance photo The Plaid Pantry located at 1095 Edgewater St NW was robbed at gunpoint just before midnight Monday night.

The suspect was described as a white male, 20 to 25 years of age, 5'6" to 5'8", weighing approximately 170 pounds, with black or brown eyes. He was wearing a blue long sleeve sweatshirt with some kind of a white horizontal print across the chest, a grey or black checkered shirt under the sweatshirt, faded black jeans, and black shoes.

OSP Traffic Stop, Subsequent Investigation Leads To Arrests, Seizure Of Over 75 Lbs Of Marijuana, Firearms In Southern Oregon

(Ashland, Oregon) - seized marijuana Following a Tuesday afternoon Oregon State Police (OSP) traffic stop west of Klamath Falls, a multi-agency investigation led by the OSP Drug Enforcement Section resulted in the search of a residence and the arrest of two people in north rural Jackson County. In addition, two Iowa residents are facing charges related to the traffic stop. A total of approximately 77 pounds of marijuana, firearms, and other evidence was seized and additional arrests are possibly pending.
