West Salem Plaid Pantry Robbed Monday Night

Plaid Pantry has posted a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in this case.

(Salem, Oregon) - The Plaid Pantry located at 1095 Edgewater St NW was robbed at gunpoint just before midnight Monday night.

The suspect was described as a white male, 20 to 25 years of age, 5'6" to 5'8", weighing approximately 170 pounds, with black or brown eyes. He was wearing a blue long sleeve sweatshirt with some kind of a white horizontal print across the chest, a grey or black checkered shirt under the sweatshirt, faded black jeans, and black shoes.

The suspect wore a white bandana with a small black pattern on it. The suspect was also wearing a black backpack. He displayed a pistol during the robbery. No one was injured in the incident and the suspect got away with only a few dollars. Police are investigating whether this is related to a robbery in Keizer minutes earlier.

There was a customer in the store at the time of the robbery that left prior to the police arriving. The Salem Police would like to speak with this customer.

Plaid Pantry has posted a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in this case. Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to call Detective Mike Quakenbush at (503)540-2352.
